Lets do this once and for all hopefully it will help someone out, we were here on october 1st, a Tuesday, which makes it a less crowded day lets say. You pay an entry fee of 8 eur pp on weekdays, 10 on weekends and holidays just to get in and use the beach. Yes i know some people say its not legal to make private beaches but here it is. However for this price you can enter this beach and a couple other adjacent beaches. No you dont get a sunbed but there are changing rooms, shower, drinkable water ok looking bathroom and most important a couple lifeguards i think for all of that its fair price. You can also get a locker for whole days for 5 eur if you wish which is pretty useful if you feel uncomfortable leaving your belongings like wallet and phone unattended like us, that said place looked pretty neat and supervised so i doubt you would lose your things but it might be different on a crowded day. We didn't take a sunbed so i cant vouch that you would be charged more than what you should however it is mentioned there is a 3 euro charge for sunbeds but thats not the price for all the sunbeds and it gets more expensive if you get something closer to the beach. As for service and foods, we haven't ordered anything since we took our own snacks (yes according to the writings, you arent allowed to take umbrella or cool box otherwise no one cared about us having our own sandwiches or water at the beach!) however lrices as expected are more inflated like it is everywhere else... Name the last tourist spot that you went and paid a price that didn't scream im charging you more because this is a hot spot... The staff seemed pretty attentive though as we saw them regularly attending the couple of people around us regularly but this will be probably slower at a busier day but thats expected too right? No one overall forced us to buy anything or pay for a sunbed we were comfortably sitting at our own beach towel, the beach overall looked neat and you could see it is attended too that said yes you could find garbage at certain places but i would blame the lovely people visiting rather than the staff... Not sure if you noticed but water carries things and sometimes you might lose your own things as big as a sunscreen bottle in the sand and then comes up at a later time be chill ok? Its not easy to run a place as big as this fully tidy 😄 There are also cats and pigeons in the neighborhood they dont bother too much and the cats are pretty friendly too if you are into that. My only half complaint is about the fish in The water (funny right?) no im not crazy but some tend to bite and one of the families said they saw some bigger ones i was personally introduced to one of the biters and left the place with a bit of a blood and scar which j think could happen at any other beach but bright side was that the lifeguard attended to the wound applied first aid and also gave me advise on what to do and if i can go back in the water. Honestly considering his behavior, rest of staff and overall the facilities this was one of the best 8 euros that i have spent in Athens and would gladly go back to this place again but considering the crowd we saw on a week day unless you are into partying i would recommend weekdays... Considering all that they offer i bet it's a great party place and gets a big crowd at weekends.

My review is very mixed just letting you know. If you’re in Athens this is a solid choice to lounge at the beach with waitstaff. The have a full food and drink menu and hookah. I only had fries and drinks. Everything is on the pricey side which is to expected of the place. They have pretty and clean lounge chairs and straw umbrellas. Now, The bad! There is no proper system to give out and assign lounge beds! They take money at the gate and when you get in Bolivar says they don’t have any loungers and they are not in charge of the gate service so you pay and can’t be accommodated ones inside. Another thing the lady who seats could have cared less! for my business! Like she quickly dismissed me and asked me to keep going down the beach to another establishment that I wasn’t interested in. After walking around for some time to find a spot, two Caucasian women arrived and they were seated right away in the front. Whether this is racism or classism(assumed so obviously because you don’t know me!) it is definitely discrimination. A black family saw me frustrated and offered me one of their lounges. Apparently the same thing had happened to them when they arrived and they had to fight their way to getting sitting. It’s quiet sad. I had read about the rudeness of the staff(bartender was not nice, wifi wasn’t working apparently) and that is for sure true! The waitstaff who attended to me ones I was seated was pleasant. The beach is clean and very beautiful, the sand clean and so sandy, the bathroom was average. Overall nice facility just don’t expect fair or the best service and you will have a good time. I was told it’s a nice vibe at night

Bolivar Beach Bar and Restaurant review: Amazing place, cool music, good food, good service, nice WC facilities. Beach area review: Entrance was €6. The sunbeds were 100% occupied and we had to wait. When there was one empty in the area with maroon beach umbrellas we were charged €17. We paid cash and no receipt. The girl#1 collecting was in a hurry to leave and kind of rude. Another girl#2 came to take over her duty. When my husband ask for the receipt, she said, it’s alright and she would know who already paid. My husband left to get our bags which we left at the Beach bar while I remain seated on the sunbed. Then girl#2 came to me asking me to pay €17. I said we already paid. She raised her voice and insisted I leave because somebody just paid for that particular sunbed. Then my husband arrived and she demanded us to present our receipt as proof. For whatever reason, she changed her tone and acknowledged that we already paid but we have to transfer. There was an empty sunbed in the beachfront with reserved sign on it. We asked about that reserved sunbed earlier and was told by girl #1 that somebody already paid for it. Big scam really. I’m sure it’s not the management’s scheme but the girls way to earn extra bucks. It destroyed my good mood but after 30 minutes I calmed down and enjoyed the remaining 2 hours there.

We went a couple times in a matter of 2 days with very mixed results. Friday evening - 6€ entrance - place was relatively empty and they aggressively tried to sell us incredibly overpriced bottles, going so far as to lie to our face that bottles are the only thing available on the menu if you don’t have dinner. When there are people, it’s almost only men. Saturday during the day - great experience. 8€ entrance to the beach (unrelated to any beach bar), and then 26€ for an umbrella and 3 loungers. Very friendly service. The security guard for the beach even allowed us to drop our luggage in their office and refused any money for it. At Bolivar, the 13 beer bucket for 50€ is an ok price. Beautiful people all around. Ideally come before 11 to get a good spot (at 12-1 all Sunbeds were taken). Don’t even bother with the other beach Bars, there’s no vibe and no people.

Three days in a row, we visited Bolivar Beach. While the location is stunning and the service friendly (especially the waiter), the sunbed situation was confusing. On our last visit, there were over 45 unoccupied sunbeds in the first section, with reservation signs. We chose one without the sign - (days prior the message was: anything without a sign is available) but a staff member (unlike a previous friendly staff person) informed us rather abruptly that all the beds were reserved. Later, within two hours, most of the sunbeds remained unused. Entry costs €8 Sunbeds €17 It's unclear if sunbeds are reserved without signage, or if availability changes throughout the day. Transparency on sunbed allocation would be helpful. However, the food was delicious, the water refreshing, and the facilities (showers, restrooms, changing rooms) were convenient.
