Ταβέρνα "Αχιλλέας" | Κέρκυρα — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The food was tasty, but the waiter was rude. If I had seen how they treated a customer here on Google Reviews beforehand, I would not have gone to this place. The customer I am referring to left a negative review in English language (about a year ago) and the restaurant responded by threatening legal action against the customer claiming that "English comments are addressed to a larger number of customers and if they are negative it can be considered intentional defamation... which can have legal consequences! " (This response, quoted directly from the restaurant's reply, is astonishingly unprofessional and reflects the service we were given in the restaurant). Maybe they will change the response after my review if they have the minimum of sense and I hope they reconsider their approach to...

When approaching this taverna the staff is very friendly and a little pushy, which I don’t really like but common here.

Overall the staff is very friendly and could speak a few words dutch to me.

There’s place to sit inside(no AC, yes fan), and outside four tables. Above the tabels against the building the placed points so pigeons cannot sit there.

I ordered a Achilleas salad which was very big and great in flavor. The kitchen is open and can be viewed which I really like.

The bathrooms are quite fancy, spacious and clean.

The restaurant has a big step to get inside but with a wheelchair no problem.

I really like the location of this place, the neighboring buildings are quite and shadow rests over the tables.

I recommend this place with a four star...

The food was very good. We chose from the food on display and were able to choose some new dishes that we didn't know. The place is not very fancy but this gives the impression that it's made for the locals rather than picky tourists. This is always a good thing in Mediterranean countries, it almost always means that the food is very fresh and good. This is where we had the best gyros in town and also had some very good pasta with pork meat that we found there. The prices were just fine for the good well cooked food. We would come back anytime. The only downside is that it looked like they needed another waiter, the one that was on shift at that time was extremely busy even if the place...
