Our Family Evening at Brisk Restaurant, Corfu

When my wife, our little one, and I stepped into Brisk Restaurant in Corfu Town, we were immediately enveloped by its warm and sophisticated ambiance. It's not just a place to eat—it's where memories are made. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance between being chic and welcoming, which made it an ideal choice for a family evening out.

A Culinary Adventure for All Ages: The menu at Brisk is a celebration of Greek culinary heritage with a modern twist, and there was something for everyone—even our picky eater was thrilled. We started with the Greek Salad, which came with a unique twist of feta P.D.O. mousse that was a hit with my wife. The ingredients were fresh, bursting with flavor, and set the tone for the rest of the meal.

For the main course, I chose the Pappardelle with Beef Cheeks.The slow-cooked beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the handmade pappardelle was cooked to perfection, soaking up the rich wine sauce. My wife, who prefers lighter fare, opted for the Fish Fillet , which was delicately cooked and served with seasonal vegetables—a perfect balance of flavors. Our kid, on the other hand, delighted in the Cheese Balls, a fun and flavorful dish that he couldn’t get enough of.

Desserts That Delight: Dessert at Brisk was an event in itself. The Fogatcha Espressowas a showstopper—imagine Corfu caramelized tsoureki with espresso cream, topped with Belgian chocolate. Even our little one was fascinated by the layers of flavors and textures, making it a dessert we all shared and savored together.

Service with a Smile: The staff at Brisk went above and beyond to ensure our evening was special. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure our son felt just as important as we did. It’s rare to find such a combination of professional service and genuine warmth, but Brisk delivered on both fronts.

This restaurant has a stunning ambience and some very nice ideas, but the food and service left a lot to be desired.

The food - some was good, some was, sadly, inedibly salty. For starter, we had the mix of spreads which went well with the crackers they included. We also opted for their bread which was soft and warm, so far so good.

For mains, we wanted the lamb tarhana which was sadly not available, but here the lack of interest from the waiter sadly started to taint our experience. Seeing that we couldn’t have our first choice, there was little interest from him to suggest to us other options. In the end we decided on the beef cheek and the shrimp orzotto.

The shrimp orzotto was inedibly salty, mainly due to the amount of Gruyère used in our dish. The beef cheek was good, tender, but the sauces were quite overpowering for such a quality meat. Also, the mash here we also found to be too salty and the truffle again coming out too strong.

The waiter unfortunately showed little care, perhaps due to tiredness being towards the end of the day. For example, he brought to us the main dish almost on top of the clearly finished starter plates, despite having plenty of opportunity to clear our table beforehand. The service unfortunately showed a lack of care and we also felt there was undue attention given to other guests, in detriment to us, despite not being busy.

To try to be fair, the portion sizes were generous, even if we couldn’t enjoy all of the food, we didn’t leave hungry at all.

I am by no means a food critic, but I have found more balanced flavours in the regular tavernas. I wanted to love this place, the plates looked absolutely amazing but the service was not good enough and as a person that often uses too much salt in their cooking, I found it hard to enjoy what we were served.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. If you are a fan of traditional Greek cuisine I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Brisk has all the staples but with a modern twist that elevates all the dishes. Visiting Greece again and celebrating our wedding anniversary we thought we would try something different to traditional tavernas and we are more than glad we did. We decided to order multiple apps in a family style layout as the reviews were so good we couldn’t decide on what to order and we were so happy we did. We ended up over ordering (or so we thought) yet finished up everything as it was so good. The service was fantastic and every dish was as described. It’s a small space so we were glad we made a reservation. The highlights were the Taramasalata (which is an all time favorite and without a doubt the best I’ve ever had), Tiroloukoymades (which could be app, main, or dessert) and gyoza (think spanakopita on steroids).

I highly recommend the multiple apps ordering like we did. So many fantastic dishes to try and for the quality of the experience it was such great value. Sorry we didn’t try any mains but if we are ever back in Corfu you are our first stop.
