Let's talk reality here. 4,7 stars? A bit over rated for what it serves.
Firstly, I must say that the waitresses were all very professional and they were really helpful and kind. So the service, which is an important part of a restaurant, gets 5 stars.
Secondly, let's talk about the pizza. Could be really good but it was... well... we both agreed on the word "boring". The ideas in the menu were good and creative but the result wasn't as good as the dishes' names. We ordered one of the special pizzas with eggplant, slowly cooked beef and potato paste and the one with leek sausage and peppers. The first pizza had 4 (we counted them) little pieces of beef. The beef tasted good but it was only 4 little pieces for an entire pizza. Similarly, 5 pieces of eggplant. So, it was impossible to taste the entire thing at once. You had to be... creative. As for the sausage? Five very thin stripes of sausage, which was a bit tasteless, as leek sausage in Greece is one with a lot of taste and aroma. Both nowhere to be found. (And no I'm not a smoker. My taste buds work fine). The crust was good but only the edges. The bottom was thinner than a crepe! (See the picture) When we got asked if we liked it, I told them our view. The answer that came from the kitchen was "this is Napples style pizza and it has to be like this". The "chef" suggests eating it with a fork and knife (which I had already done but it was still tricky because I had to wrap it around the fork like pasta at some bits) OR FOLDING IT LIKE AN ENVELOPE/BURRITO! If I wanted a wrap I'd definitely go somewhere else guys. Come on. If you cannot make Italian pizza then dont make italian pizza. Name it something else.
Naming this Napples style pizza was of course something I couldn't argue with the waitress. I said "well, not your fault but this is not Napoli style pizza. It maybe looks like it, but it's not." (Believe me, google it)
We didn't have any pasta but the table next to us, while they were discussing their pasta said "kaloutsiko", which means okayish. And it did look a bit watery and bland.
To be 100% honest we ate the whole thing because we were starving. And because we were starving, the very thin dough didnt manage to fill our bellies. So yes, it's edible but nothing special.
The place has also an amazing number of guests. If you really want to visit it then you need a reservation. They told me they use around 40% of their tables for reservations. Got that information from a conversation I had with them.
The grapefruit soda was really tasty and it was a surprise that even though it was from a british brand, it was produced and bottled in Greece! 10 points for this.
Would we come back? No, I dont think so. I can definitely suggest other places. One of them being not very far...
Read moreI had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor and ambiance created the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.
The service was truly exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations, and I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. Aggeliki, our awesome host tonight! She made us feel right at home with her friendly welcome and attentive service.
Now, onto the star of the show – the pizza. It was nothing short of phenomenal. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. They offer a variety of creative and classic options, ensuring there's something for everyone.
In addition to the pizza, the restaurant also had a great selection of beverages, including some fantastic wine choices that paired wonderfully with our meal. Also local beers for beer enthusiasts!
Overall, this pizza restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. It's the ideal spot for a delicious meal in a fantastic atmosphere with top-notch service. I can't...
Read moreWe went to this place 3 times during our stay in Corfu and each time it was EXCELLENT.
The first time we just passed by and we were attracted by the wine and the aspect of the Pizza, and we were not disappointed.
The food, both pizzas (Buffalo and Parma) and pastas (Tagliatelle and Rigatoni) are delicious, with fresh ingredients and original recipes. The dough is fluffy and tasteful, the cheeses are various and great. The wines, both red (specially the Greek one: Alpha State) and white (Sauvignon) are perfect with the food. As for the antipasti, we recommend the dough with sour cheese, and for dessert, if you still have some room, the tiramisu is one of the best we have ever eaten.
The service was always great, and quick, we only had to book once, and it was just one hour prior to arriving to be sure to have a table outside. Otherwise we always had an immediate table, with quick and reactive waiters. Each time our waiter was Ionna and was very sweet to us.
Overall, we cannot recommend this place enough, the service is a 10, the food is a 10, the wine is a 10, the atmosphere is a 10, so it’s a 10, 10, 10...
