La Riviera Barbati Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The worst experience so far in Corfu we visited in the noon for swimming, coffee, drinks and maybe some food

we gave an order for coffees that costed 6 euros which we paid right away. after a while another waiter came to inform us that the minimum charge is 15 euros per car.

we agreed because we knew we were going to spend a lot more and even offered to pay up front the 15 euros.

not 2 minutes later another guy came to inform us that he is the boss and the minimum charge is 15 euros per car.

we told him that we already knew, that he is the second person to tell us the same thing and offered again to pay up front. at that point he started being rude and aggressive, saying that he will give us a receipt, and we should not be any different from other costumers. Of course, we left immediately. I must point out that there is no sign anywhere in the place to inform the customers about any of this. I truly believe that people who behave in this manner should not be anywhere near...

Very unfriendly waiter at the beach. The guy where you need to pay for the sunbeds is getting angry at you if you’re not fast enough or when you don’t understand him. He determines his own fares. We needed to pay 12 euros per set of two sunbeds and an umbrella. Unfortunately for him I understand Greek and heard him talking to other Greek people, who were fined 6 euros for the same set of sunbeds. An other couple of Germans needed to pay him 18 euros (at 4 pm). Very unfriendly guy. Also with lunch, your ordered food is not coming at the same time. We ordered sandwiches and a salad, we waited for another 30 minutes before getting the salad; everyone finished their hot sandwiches. The waiter came to us every five minutes to tell us we are the next table who will get the salad served. Funny (not) to see food for other tables coming from the kitchen every five minutes. I would not recommend this place, but the beach is beautiful and the water is really nice...

Terrible restaurant. We had a piece of iron in our food and the staff didnt care about it and reacted as if nothing happened. We waited around 20 minutes just to order something in the first place. If you really find yourself in Corfu and Barbati, this one is the worst.

As a response to the owner- post whatever you want . If you post a video without our consent, I will sue you the same second. And secondly, what is wrong with you to fight with your customers like that ? Do you think thats normal ? Next time at least come and check with us.

I have several hundred reviews on google maps, and this review will stay here as it is. Now post whatever you want. Best if you post how much we waited for food or for a reaction from the staff about your attempt to almost us hurting us with a piece of iron...
