I came for dinner with my 10y.o. daughter, hoping to sit by the sea. One sea-view table was free, but it was “reserved” and we were seated elsewhere. I asked if we could move later - was told yes, if a table for two became available.
We ordered mains, drinks, and dessert. The food was good - the garlic shrimp especially! - but portions were small. Fine for a child, but not enough for an adult without starters/salads.
While we were still eating, two sea-view tables became available, + the “reserved” one. No one came to us.
Instead, two guests sitting right next to us (they had arrived after us and were also not at a sea-view table) were approached by our waitress and offered the newly available sea-view table. We heard everything. We were simply overlooked.
I asked again. They said they’d “check”. By the time they did, my daughter was finishing her dessert.
A woman (possibly a manager, though she never introduced herself) finally came over. No apology. Just: “You’ve already finished your main, and they’ve been here a few times before… so that’s our policy.”
That moment said everything. We were less important.
The irony is, with just a bit of attention or empathy, the evening could have ended beautifully. Instead of a warm memory, we were left with the feeling of being disregarded - like second-class guests.
Our dinner: garlic shrimp with rice, sea bass fillet, apple pie, 2× Fantas, 2×glasses of wine, and a small water — came to €77. Not exactly a “low bill”. Just... low...
Read moreAfter 2 weeks in Corfu and new diner place every evening, this is the worst place to visit. We visited restaurant with my wife. The lamb chops I ordered had barely any meat on them - too much of white fat and just a bit of meat on the big bone. The lamb apparently was frozen and despite I was offered that I can choose a medium doneness, I got those WELL done. Vinegar octopus appetiser was too sour - you can taste nothing but vinegar, impossible and probably even dangerous for health to eat. After we politely returned it, first we heard yelling at the kitchen, then we were asked if we saw in the menu there is vinegar in the appetiser and that “we already buy it like that” so it’s “our problem we don’t like it”. And 5 prawns and poorly chopped cucumber for 20 euro as a main dish was the last drop. I’m sorry I didn’t read the reviews well before going there. Totally disappointed. And I won’t be surprised with yet another pathetic response from the owner on...
