Mikri Garitsa — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

We agree with all the previous reviews! We walked from the centre of Corfu town, out to the windmill along Garitsa Bay. On our way back, we walked under the trees, looking for this restaurant and found it quite easily (near the small playground and what looks like boule courts?!). The staff were very welcoming; the seating, under large olive trees with glimpses of the Old Fort and the bay, was cool, and although the baked lamb wasn't available that lunchtime, I had exactly the same dish (slow baked in foil with potatoes and herbs) but with a huge piece of pork. My husband had Sofrita (veal in garlic and tomato sauce with (possibly homemade) pasta). Both dishes were very generous and delicious, so with the Greek salad we shared as a starter, we came away very satisfied. We were also given a free shot of limoncello. We would thoroughly recommend this new restaurant and wish them well...

Absolutely fantastic food. We went there twice during our trip and got takeaway once. The egg plant tasted amazing. The egg plant sauce that it comes with is delicious. The fried zucchini also has a very nice flavour. Chicken souvlaki and chicken leg were some of the grilled items we were happy with. Filo pastries were good but too sour and cheesy for our liking but I understand that’s the nature of the dish. If you’re nearby, definitely visit this place without hesitation.

Update: the super star staff in this restaurant held onto our driving license which we left at the store. We didn’t realise we left it there. We went the next day to order their amazing egg plant roll and they and gave it to us then. Best overall restaurant experience in...

My girlfriend, friend and I had dinner here last night and we can’t say enough good things about Mikri Garista and Spiros!

We had bread (obviously homemade), sausages, giant beans, and the beetroot salad. But the two stand-out stars were the baked feta in filo with honey (which my well-travelled friend described as the best thing she’s ever tasted!) and the iman eggplants which were deliciously flavourful.

We paired our dishes with 1/2 l of house rose (made for them and organic) which was so good we had another 1/2 l!
