Visited a few times as first of all the setting is amazing - you have a truly unique view which makes the place so good. Plus if you love Asian food, it's not many options in Corfu so that's another great benefit of Naok Azur. I just have to note - having a place with a great address and view doesn't mean you should have staff without not any idea about customer care/interest in guests satisfaction. I have several experiences with this place, as I keep returning anyway, but with the staff it's always the same - they really lack any interest, seem to be so bored to be there, not any smile, not any tempo, not any energy (everyone so young and yet so tired and looking unhappy). Also when you inform them of a serious food allergy you can feel from their face they will not even transfer that info to the Chef, or again you really annoy them. The restaurant, also the bar are expensive, which is fine, the address is also some prestige in Corfu - that's why you should probably have staff according to this as well, because service is extremely important. I also love to give a tip, but not to a guy or girl who looks obviously annoyed from me actually just being there and ordering something. Another experience I have is from the evening when I just tried to go for cocktails - I really just tried, we been there for about 10min, everyone ignored us, even after eye contact with a waitress who looked at us and better went away. So after 10min not being able to order, we went away too. This is just a friendly reminder - you really do have some beautiful place, the food is very good too, just it would be great to work on your service, kindness, and...
Read moreBooked a table far, far, far ahead to get the good view NOAK is famous for. Was placed in the middle. When asked to get a table on the waterside after first cocktails and nibbles I was told there would be a minimum spending of €300,-. We decided to stick with our table. Please, don’t get me wrong- a minimum spend would be ALL OKE for a ‘hotspot’ sushi restaurant like this, we know the deal, ‘we get around’ 😉……..if only: the waitresses were representable. The place is trendy so I understand they want to dress accordingly, but not with stains on clothes, bra-less with tops too small so you would be scared anything might fall out on either side of the top. That might work at the beach. One of the waitresses wás representable, smiled, was friendly. Her top was small as well, but kept everything in place, had her hair tied up and didn’t sneeze on placemats before setting the tables. Table was more set like in a taverna with too small páper napkins and chopsticks. The manager and his sidekick presented an attitude and were smoking shisha at the entrance the whóle time, taking turns. Food was oke, cocktails were oké, nothing more, nothing less. Ended up spending somewhat €150,-, didn’t order a bottle of wine, kept it with 2 drinks, no dessert/coffee. Wasn’t worth it. Again, minimum spend is all good, but get your act together!
PS during our diner two of the ‘Minimum Spend Tables’ were completely empty. One was set with 7 people, so the 300,- would have been easy. One of them got occupied just...
Read more3 stars cause of cut corners. I ld need to speak to the owner - according to the head barman - to seek or to suggest that with cocktails and premium drinks the dry nuts should be of higher quality and not just salty peanuts and coloured crackers. I was suggested chips or to order a food snack!! Later I asked a second offering and the bartender asked why, in view that I was not originally satisfied!. The waiter was not familiar with one drink we ordered but the bartender was and he eagerly made it for us and he seemed talented. The quality of the drinks was very good and our young waiter was polite and friendly although we had to get up and grab a drinks menu as we were not offered any at seat down. The location and views are inspiring and relaxing, so the concept should match it, yet sadly, the cut corners and the general modern international food menu (with sushi, sisha smoking etc), part of an obvious attempt to satisfy various tastes and market segments, does not do justice to...
