Bakalogatos — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The service was good. The menu was diverse with a lot of options but if you have a certain dish in your mind ask before sitting down as they might not having during your period of visit (e.g. when i visited they were out of sofrito, squid, kotsi and lamb) We ordered a loaded potato ('pregnant potato'), corfu sausage and seafood pasta. The food was a bit bland and mild tasting for my tastes, it lacked salt and spice. The pasta was overcooked (as it tends to happen in greece) and had too much oil but the seafood was well cooked and the portion was generous. Also it was cheaper than what you might find elsewhere on the island. Not a bad tavern overall but since Corfu town has better options in offer, i would think twice...

When we came upon this little gem, we paid attention that this place had a a couple of tables with people speaking Greek (must be locals) which to me is always a good sign when in a touristy area! We enjoyed our meal very much, I have to say their menu was more extensive then average Greek taverna, along with traditional dishes they had different options. Service was fast and friendly, everything we ate was delicious, (we had apaki salad, which I thought was very unusual, chicken on the skillet, and some sort of a baked cheese with honey. During our girls' trip to Corfu, we spontaneously discovered this lovely place💖 The ambiance was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious😍

You should definitely try zucchini balls and sesame honey feta cheese, they were incredible! 😍 And mousakka was one of the best I’ve ever tried❤️ The staff were really friendly and cute. They were always asking us what we’re feeling. They had great effort to make us pleasant. They were amazing🍀
