🌟 A Hidden Gem in Corfu Old Town – AgioLi is a Must! 🌟
Dining at AgioLi Mediterranean Restaurant was one of the absolute highlights of our visit to Corfu. Nestled in a picturesque corner of the Old Town, AgioLi blends authentic Greek charm with refined Mediterranean flavors in a way that feels both warm and elevated.
From the very start, the service was gracious and welcoming. The staff made us feel like honored guests rather than just customers, offering helpful recommendations and making sure every detail was perfect.
The food? Simply unforgettable. We tried the grilled octopus served over a silky fava purée with fresh tomato and herbs—it was tender, smoky, and beautifully presented. The whole grilled fish was fresh, moist, and perfectly seasoned, accompanied by vibrant greens and a light citrus drizzle that brought everything to life. Each dish was a work of art, full of flavor and balance.
What made the experience truly special, though, was the atmosphere. Dining outdoors in a sun-drenched square surrounded by the textures and colors of Corfu’s old stone walls and local shops created a magical, almost cinematic setting.
AgioLi is not just a restaurant—it’s a complete experience of Corfiot hospitality, taste, and soul. Whether you’re a foodie or simply someone looking to enjoy a beautiful meal in an unforgettable place, don’t miss AgioLi. It deserves every...
Read moreI visited Agiolio in Corfu and unfortunately had a very disturbing experience.
I ordered the Starters Mix (€39), which was described as including a variety of starters such as bruschetta, baked eggplants, zucchini fritters, octopus in vinaigrette, shrimp, steamed mussels, and fries. Instead, what I received was very disappointing: 2 grilled peppers, 2 zucchini fritters, 2 pieces of saganaki (fried cheese), a small piece of feta, half a tomato, a quarter of a cucumber, and a large portion of fries. This did not match the description and felt unreasonable for the price.
After paying, we politely expressed our dissatisfaction to the waiter. A few minutes later, after leaving the restaurant and walking about 50–100 meters away, the same waiter followed us. He asked my husband in a threatening tone to come into a side street to “talk.” When my husband refused, the waiter physically assaulted him. The owner was present during the incident and did not intervene. Later, he told us he owned several restaurants in Corfu and suggested we should leave to avoid further problems.
We immediately called the police to filed an official complaint about the incident.
This was not only disappointing in terms of food quality, but also a frightening and unacceptable experience. Based on what happened, I cannot recommend...
Read moreWOW, words do not describe the great food and the AMAZING service from Yannis.
And, how lucky can one get. Yannis was also our server at a different restaurant that we previously dined at this week. We got to experience his stellar service twice.
Both times we were a group of 12-14 and usually a server would mess things up with a group of this size. But not Yannis, each one of us felt like we were treated as a regular guest and also treated like VIPs.
Last night we again had a great spread of delicious food and drink. I would list our favorite entrées, but everything was absolutely fabulous!
For our first experience it was choosen by our food/walking guide. Of course it was great. Last night's experience was over the top. He knew what foods we liked and made some wonderful recommendations.
Kristopher and I have been in the dining and accommodations industry for a long time and we know how difficult it can be.
Congratulations Agioli and Yannis, you have done a great job! Kirtis...
