Stathis Snack Bar Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The owner and the server were very rude . Before boarding the pirates ship from the port across the road ,We .decided to order a potion of chips for my toddler who was really hungry and requested to put it in a takeaway box so easier for us to carry it if he does not eat it there . The restaurant was empty and no one sitting there or waiting .They charged us full price 4.50 euros for takeaway and then when I opened box and started giving it to my toddler to eat the server said since it’s in takeaway box we can’t eat it here . When I said it was the same price 4.50 euros takeaway or not and it was so rude to tell us that my toddler can’t eat it there , the owner said that we can have money back and leave the chips there and leave . And then the sever put the cash on our table and took the box of chips from my hands and asked us to leave . Also the owner was very rude with my husband when he asked to use the toilet , because we ordered only one potion of chips costing 4.50 euros so he was not happy for my husband to use the toilet . Very rude and greedy people in Corfu. Never had such an experience in any other country so far on holiday . Definitely not coming back...

Disgusting food. Terrible fried fish where it says frozen - fresh, when we asked the waiter he said fresh we never freeze small fish in greece (?) i then asked why does it say frozen on the menu which he denied, followed by him bringing me a menu where it said frozen - fresh and then he reluctantly concocted a story that the menu maker made a mistake and they're printed yesterday. He went on to rant about it not being frozen for a while. The anchovies were suspiciously small (1/3rd the size of any other), cold within 1 minute with a weird taste and some kind of batter. No taste of the fish. I regret eating it immediately. They taste like they were prefried and reheated. Even if the fish was fresh (which I doubt) it wasn't freshly fried or with old and below temperature fat. I've had this kind of fish all over the island more than a dozen times and never seen something like this. The waiter was incredibly rude and as he gave us an ashtray he said 'maybe it's better if you don't smoke for a bit' (??) The owner and the waiter were very rude! Four of us went there, two of our friends ordered some coffee. My husband and myself asked for plant based milk for our coffee, but they didn't have it, so we didn't have coffee. After 5-10 minutes my friend didn't finish her coffee but stood up to take a picture and they immediately took her unfinished coffee away and asked us to leave the table as we didn't order anything. The waiter said, I didn't want to order anything, I told him I wanted to but they haven't got any plant based milk... They started to argue with us and I left them and went to the next door where the lady was super nice and had almond milk and I also ordered not only a latte but some pastry too... It is...
