I recently had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at Old Buoy in Corfu on three separate occasions, and my experience was a mixed bag. The first two visits were delightful, with a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food that made for a great start to the day. The staff was friendly, and the service was prompt, enhancing the overall experience.
However, my last visit took a turn for the worse. We waited an excruciating 30 minutes for our scrambled eggs, and with a boat to catch, we ultimately had to cancel our meal. While I appreciated that they didn't charge us for the food, I was disappointed to still be charged for the drinks, especially since they recognized us as repeat customers. This lack of consideration for our time made the situation even more frustrating, as we ended up having to embark on a 2-hour boat ride on an empty stomach.
Overall, Old Buoy has potential, but I urge future patrons to manage their time wisely. The inconsistency in service can be a real challenge, so be prepared for possible delays if you're on a...
Read moreAn absolute gem! The signature cuisine is simply outstanding. The interior design is stylish and incredibly well thought-out, with attention to every little detail. The music selection adds just the right vibe, clearly curated by someone who knows what they’re doing. In just a couple of years, this place has doubled in size, and it’s easy to see why — it’s become a go-to spot for locals. Menu totally different from the typical Greek tavernas with loads of healthy options — which is rare! Great for breakfast, chill dinners, or just grabbing a drink at the bar. With this level of quality, creativity, and consistency, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this place earn a Michelin star soon. It’s already setting a new standard for dining in Corfu . Much more chances to find parking around than in the old city centre (there...
Read moreI had an amazing breakfast at this coffee place with a friend, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a while.
The staff were absolutely wonderful – attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
The manager was incredibly kind. I bought a bag of coffee from them, and he took the time to explain everything about it – the origin, flavor notes, and even how to brew it properly. That level of care really impressed me.
The food was fantastic – honestly, the best poached eggs I’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.
And the coffee… wow. It was so delicious that I didn’t think twice before buying some to take home.
I would absolutely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast and...
