If it’s good enough for Rick Stein, it’s good enough for me. I’m referring to the takeaway, that has a few seats and a table outside (not a restaurant of the same name not so far away). Lovely chicken or pork gyros, salad, with a few chips. Special spices and a sauce what I can only describe as a week gravy, but so tasty. It’s in the “Well of Vrachlioti Square” in Corfu town. Rick Stien was here in one of his TV programs (Corfu & Majorca) in 2007 and recommended it. I’ve included a picture of the shop front and some fridge magnets, to to be mixed up with the actual Gyros 😄.

As south Asian people, it’s very easy for us to be judged or discriminated but I didn’t expect to go to a popular food place in Corfu and to immediately feel like we were being judged because of the colour of our skin. Read moreI went here cause it was advertised as the best gyros/souvlakis in Corfu, its definitely not, the woman working there didnt speak english very well so it was very hard for us to order as we couldnt understand her, the man making the food was very fast so thats a + and the price is really cheap especially for Corfu, but the food wasnt good i got a chicken souvlaki and the meat was honestly terrible and without being dramatic i gagged, it was stringy felt undercooked and i stopped eating after a few bites.
