Came here twice on our trip. A great selection of offerings for breakfast with a Greek twist. We had one of the combo breakfast (highly recommended for anyone who loves a traditional Western breakfast with a twist). We ordered the "salty" combo breakfast with 2 fried eggs, smoked gourmet ham, grilled tomatoes, 2 toast, mushroom and baby green salad with orange juice. They make all orders fresh to order and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. We also had a miniature version/mini cheese pie (a known Greek dish) made with two types of local cheese. Finally when we came back again we ordered the Hottie sandwich (with porchetta) and the cheese omelette. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants a healthy hearty breakfast. They also carry a wide selection of pies and cakes baked in house as well as Greek yogurt for those who want a lighter breakfast/brunch. They close at 4pm daily.

The restaurant has an intriguing and eye-catching interior design. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen gives off a high-end vibe. Although the portions served are not particularly large, they are undeniably delicious. It's worth noting that the prices at this establishment are on the higher side. Additionally, please be aware that the price does not include juice, which must be ordered separately. We had the so greek and the scrambled eggs with fresh salmon. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and there is the option to sit outside. The owner himself is often present, creating a welcoming and conversational atmosphere. The service is prompt and efficient. If you're looking to indulge in a traditional breakfast experience, albeit at higher prices, this restaurant comes recommended.

Fabulous breakfast. Excellent value for money and large portions. There’s a reason you always have to queue for a table. It’s not really the most authentic traditional Greek experience but I guess it’s a modern one. The sort of breakfast I’d expect more in Athens or Thessaloniki (better than anything in Shoreditch or LA, obviously). For example - the staff had US accents, you can only have the table for an hour and the menu is by QR code. Beautiful bustling street just off the port. The open kitchen is phenomenal to see abundant with beautiful bread and fresh produce. There’s plenty of vegan options which I’d usually sway to in the UK but when greeted by such small farmed and produced by products I chose the local eggs and cheeses. Absolutely delicious.

Please read the one star reviews for yourself... all about the service! Really would advise avoiding, Greece and Crete are over flowing with friendly people. As we, and it seems many other customers, found out, the older chef/owner here is the exception.

Chef assumed we were "Americans used to getting our way"...we are neither. Cafe serves fried eggs in some dishes. Cafe serves scrambled eggs on toast. Our request was whether we could have fried eggs on toast rather than scrambled. Simple enough, I've accommodated a lot more in kitchens. The waiter went to check with the chef and the chef came out to us. He could have explained that maybe they prepare all food in advance rather than to order or maybe the chef who fries all the eggs was on their break. But he rudely made the above comment to us instead. We corrected him that we were neither but that didn't dissuade him from continuing to speak to us rudely until we left.

I'm not sure why the request could not have been accommodated or denied politely. I get that kitchens can be stressful but if you can't handle frying an egg instead of scrambling one, especially if you offer them in other dishes, then I think you are in the wrong...

The one star is only for the food which was excellent which we could not even enjoy since the stuff had already destroyed our mood by their behaviour. They were extremely impolite and talked to us with a stunningly rude and aggressive way. They were constantly indicating us were to sit. 2. I stood up for a second to check the baby and they complained immediately. A kid was walking between the two tables we had and they were staring at us annoyed. A couple of friends passed by for five minutes and the chef came again asking them to leave because they were causing a problem being next to the table.

All that happened at 9:30am and when the streets were still empty.

The chef ("manager") made all those comments claiming that he wanted to be compliant with the covid regulations but he was not wearing a mask !!!! When I asked him why his answer was "the absence of my mask is your problem?"

I am sorry but I cannot enjoy my food when I am not respected. All the comments could have been made in a polite way but that word did not exist in...

It was a beautiful morning when we walked to phyllo, the moment we asked for a table the guy at the front said it’s only for one hour before we even sat down. Which seemed a bit strange given that no place on the island said that. Once we sat down, I asked if the one egg on my brunch plate could be well done as I do not like runny eggs. He straight up said no. I asked if it’s possible that they just boil it for a few more minutes then he said no, he knows the chef won’t do it and they don’t serve cooked eggs. I said fine, is it possible to substitute the egg with something and again straight up no. “It’s not replaceable “ for which I did not then want to pay 8.50 for my plate that was based on an egg. On such a beautiful island with the most kind people I’m questioning why these people have to be so rude and unwelcoming. Why are you running a brunch cafe if you can’t even boil an egg? More so stop being so...
