Where do I even begin!
We fell inlove with Sinagogi Cocktail bar when we first visited Chania 3 years ago. We kept coming back every summer to visit it and have the most amazing drinks and snacks. When we got engaged and decided to host our wedding in our favorite island Chania, we 100% knew we need to do a celebration with all of our guests in Sinagogi. So we got in touch with Marina who is the sweetest and most amazing soul that exists.
She was so accommodating for our requests, helped us arrange for such an unforgettable night to host our 100 guests as a pre-party to the wedding.
The food tasting, the music, the drinks everything was just so amazingly organized. We had the most amazing evening thanks to the amazing services from everyone.
The food tasting a few days before the event and the food on the day were so amazing and Marina and the team were so accommodating to the food preferences we had. Everyone was so happy with the amazing quality of everything.
Such a unique place not only for amazing events but just overall to have incredible guaranteed food and drinks.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! Can't wait to see you and have a drink with you again...

And yet, there are missteps. The charm of the space is undercut by an unfortunate choice of signage – the toilets indicated by the projected shadow of a man firmly seated on the loo, a detail that feels more jarring than playful. The drinks list is extensive, but curiously, there isn’t a mojito to be had in the height of summer. What is on offer tends towards the rough and overly sweet rather than the refined or sophisticated. This is not a place for cocktail enthusiasts: it feels closer to a club than to a cocktail bar.
As the evening progresses, the volume rises quickly, tipping from lively to overwhelming. Before long, conversation requires a raised voice, then near-shouting, and the beauty of the place fades into background noise.
Come for the setting, linger under the jasmine, but know that the promise of refinement gives way to a louder, less...
Read moreSuch a great bar! The vibe is unreal, music suits the place, staff is extremely polite and chatty. It seems like they're happy to be there and serve you. They pay attention to customers and make sure you're served timely. We've been given complimentary nuts and new drink to try out. The cocktail menu is available through QR code which is handy, drinks are generous with alcohol, very tasty at the same time and well presented. This place has probably the best customer service we've had in Chania with friendly and smiley staff. The one thing to be aware of!! Originally I posted bad review as when we were looking for the bar, we walked in through Kondilaki steet, walked into the alley to the bar where you need to go pass Xani restaurant. Their front door person turned us out without us knowing the bar is past that restaurant (she said they don't serve people that don't have dinners)! Make sure when you're looking out to visit Sinagogi, that you walk pass the restaurant and ignore their rude front door people, or approach it from Skoufon Rd. I would recommend this coctail bar to everyone...
