Cavos by La Scala — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

Location amazing, if you want over cooked food with no taste this is the place for you. Garlic bread: dry and tastless (even the fish wouldn't eat it) I ordered sea bass and asked if it was fillet or hole, I'm not to keen on picking out bones. The waiter said if I'm struggling he can de bone the fish, he brought it to the table and insisted on chopping it up into bits trying to remove bones. It looked like slop. It was freezing cold and the mash was packet mash if there's any such thing anymore. Fist bite of fish got 3 bones. My partner had salmon it was well over cooked and cold the lemon sauce was vile. I complained and the waiter insisted I had something else, it had got quite uncomfortable by then so I asked for carbonara. It came and was piping hot 🔥 like fire, obviously to prove a point. It was dry and tasteless. If you enjoy this restaurant you know nothing about good food. I've given 1 star only because I couldn't leave it blank. ...

This restaurant is outstanding! I chose seafood dishes, while my friends opted for pasta and steak, and everything was truly delicious. The meals were fresh, satisfying, and full of flavor. The staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive, and their hospitality was a beautiful and thoughtful gesture. They served us complimentary shots after our meals, and when they learned we were leaving the next day, they surprised us with a traditional Greek dessert. Plus, the direct view of the sea is simply stunning. Disappointing Food Despite Great Location

The setting here is fantastic – right by the sea with beautiful views, which is what initially drew us in. Unfortunately, the food was a huge let-down. We ordered the gyros and the truffle burger, and both were terrible. The meat in the gyros was hard and dry, while the burger was also dry and crumbly, with a bread bun that was hard and stale. We raised our concerns with the waiter, who went into the kitchen but didn’t offer us an alternative or even a small discount off the bill.
