SKIPPER — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

The food we ordered was not good at all. Presentation looked nice in the photos but that was all unfortunately. The taste was disgusting I've never had worse seafood, which is disappointing because I was really looking forward to it following the good reviews on Google and the food seemed like it had either been cooked earlier and dried out or had been laying around for a while. The prawns weren't cleaned, the mussels looked like hard cake icing they were so dry they were 'cracking' when the fork went in, hard to explain but they weren't fresh or even edible I think for that matter, the calamari was OK just basic and the octopus was so rubbery, dry and tasteless, the best thing on the plate was the chips and even they weren't good quality, I honestly don't understand how they have so many good reviews unless I came on a bad day (Thursday evening). They were packed busy atmosphere, seemed good and the views were nice, staff were friendly when ordering. Overall it was a ok experience beside the food so to hang out a nice view and place I guess, but to eat I wouldn't go again. With a place like this it has such good potential to be better than surrounding areas, they should get better and fresher ingredients for their customers instead of serving bad food. Absolutely brilliant restaurant, first off you can't fail but fall in love with the views out to sea and the bay, especially on a clear day when you can see all of the mountains. The sunken boat nearby also adds to the scene.

The service was second to none, they couldn't do enough and it was speedy.

I had a Cretan mixed grill and it was quite simply the best food I have ever eaten in Crete and I've been 9 times! It was so tasty and the mix of flavours just left me wanting more despite the portion size being large enough for a family of 72.

It's so relaxing to chill out afterwards and have a wine whilst watching the world stroll slowly past and the odd boat meander past.

This is one the most amazing and cool people that I have ever met in hersonissos, first of all I have worked in hersonissos back in 2012, and now I decided to revisited it and this people Dimitris the boss, Dimitris the waiter and Martin with all of the crew were really incredible, I'm not going to talk about the things that were served on the house because those one were a touching heart gesture, but the guys there were just simply top notch about customer service and making sure that you have really proper good Greek experience, do not be shy of asking anything that is greek and to have an experience that you will not forget, best place in all hersonissos and with...
