High Beach Resort — Hotel in Municipality of Chersonissos

High Beach White is a newly renovated area of High Beach Hotel with an exclusive pool for adults and residents only of High Beach White. ||||Room:||||We stayed at room #802, which is a swin-up room 2 m from the pool and 10 m from the beach. The room is 42-45m2, huge bed (mattress on the softer side), fridge w. a small freezer, Nespresso coffee machine (4 capsules) and 1 l of daily water. Huge marble bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. A/C works really well.||||WiFi: ||||Works really well all over the hotel, at the pool and even on the beach and the speed is good enough for streaming Netflix etc. ||||Food: ||||With all inclusive ultra, you can get branded labels of alcohol, wine/bee, special coffee etc. Upon arrival you get a complementary bottle of wine and some snacks (banana, bun and some yoghurt). You can have buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner at the main restaurant at High Beach hotel or you can choose a 3-set lunch /4-set dinner at the Elia restaurant with really nice views of the sunset.. The menu is fixed with a variety during the week. The buffet restaurant had a good variety of food but lacked of taste and quality. The food at the Elia restaurant was much better. ||||This was good:||||+ location is very convenient right at the beach, pool and 10 m to the Elia restaurant and 100 m. to the buffet restaurant. 200 m. to the supermarket and main street with other restaurants, shops etc. ||+ polite staff, very good cleaning||+ Good Covid-19 safety, all staff very masks and wiped tables and chairs with alchohol. Buffet was served by the staff||+ good food at the Elia restaurant, excellent views||+ we were often alone at the pool and rarely crowded||+ super nice to have two sets of sunbeds/umbrella reserved on the beach with your room # on it||||To be improved:||||- maid forgot to refill coffee capsules/coffee cups/water but you can call the reception to get refills. ||- food in buffet restaurant was very average with little or no taste||- orange juice was fresh, but not cold ||- all cocktails were served in the same type of class and the bartenders||- would be nice if a 3 course lunch could be exchanged for e.g. a pizza on the a-la-carte menu.||||Will recommend this hotel for couples who seek out a...

BEST HOTEL EVER WITH THE BEST BARTENDERS IN THE WORLD! We went to Crete for 5 years in a row in 5* hotels and this is definitely the best resort we've seen, and the one we will certainly be back to! The food there is amazing, the private sandy beach is stunning, we had a deluxe room which looked gorgeous and we also had our reserved sun beds at the beach which were very comfy (and fancy), everything exceeded our wildest expectations.

But the best thing about this hotel is the people. George and Vasillios should receive a medal for the BEST BARTENDERS IN THW WORLD. Really! These guys are the heart of the hotel! Their good mood, their good roasts for the guests and most importantly, their kind hearts is what made us say ''We will definitely be back next year!'' We ended up spending every single night at the bar chatting and laughing with them and they kept surprising us with AMAZING drinks of really good quality (something we did not expect from an all inclusive hotel). Big thanks to Yannis and Anna for the great chats, the signature drinks at the sunset terrace and the a-la-carte complementary dinner. This was SO much more than what we expected! These people made us leave the hotel in tears but just as we said to them, this is not a ''goodbye'', this is ''till the next year''! We spent one week in this hotel. In the overall, this is a nice place but some things are missing to meet th 5-star standards.||Positive aspects :||- The food of the main restaurant is good and diverse|- The food and the service at the restaurant by the beach is perfect |- The location : near the beach (only a few meters away)|- The room are rather big and comfortable |- The massages ||Negative aspects||- the water is only heated with solar panels so there is no hot water in the mornings and in the evenings. This is really not pleasant to take a cold shower even when it’s hot outside||- There is not enough sunbeds around the swimming pool. Only 4 « Classic » ones and the other are round so nobody wants to take them. It has led to some tensions around the pool which is not what we need during holidays.||- The « adults Only part » is only for the pool area. In the main restaurant, for breakfast the Resort and the adult only hotel are together. There is a part in the restaurant where there are only adults but the room is too cold and not very welcoming. Besides, the resort is quite huge so you don’t have the intimate environment you are looking for when choosing an adult only hotel.
