We had a nice table in the corner overlooking the beach which was a perfect setting for a lovely evening. As we were staying half-board at the Abaton we had a wide selection of dishes on the HB menu or a small supplement to order those that weren't. For the first course we ordered stuffed cabbage leaves (similar to dolmadis), and the spinach in filo pastry with green, cheese and pollen. Both fresh,nfull of flavour and delicious. For mains we opted for both dishes of the day, a homemade moussaka and lamb with artichoke and lemon sauce. The moussaka was by far the best I have ever tasted. The lamb was succulent and melted in the mouth and the artichoke added texture with finely sliced roasted potatoes.

For dessert we had a traditional orange pie with mandarin marmalade and kaimaki ice cream. It was incredible! The other choice was Galaktoboureko baked in a wood oven with goat milk, petimesi and bergamot ice cream - an inspired dish. Tasty, imaginative and very satisfying.

The food? Absolutely perfect. Every dish was full of authentic flavor, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main courses and desserts, everything was delicious and clearly made with care.
