The view and the setting is really nice here, but unfortunately it was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Not only was the food super over cooked, including a lobster which had no claws and was £100, which is extortionate for a good lobster never mind a terrible one, the staff were also really aggressive and will take your personal belongings if you complain.

My phone was swiped out of my hands by the owner, and he refused to give it back to me until we paid the full bill. We asked for a deduction on the lobster as it was over cooked, the steak was also over cooked as we had to send it back, and the meal was just terrible. For our £210 bill, they knocked off £5 for the meal. Usually in seaside tourist towns, you expect to pay £50/60 for a full lobster, which was the charge in other places in the same area.

The man working there is extremely aggressive - I’m not sure if taking someone’s personal belongings as some sort of weird ransom is a thing in Greece, but I was extremely scared by this man who clearly wouldn’t take any sort of criticism.

We had to send our food back, drinks were forgotten about twice and the staff (other than a lovely American girl that served us!)!were either forgetful or aggressive.

I would avoid at all costs, unless you’re someone who would happily take a terrible meal and not complain about it, because if you do, you’re going to end up with your phone/bag/purse taken off you and held until you pay the full bill.

I really wanted this to be a nice experience as I’d seen videos on TikTok etc, but all of the recent reviews are ‘average’ or ‘terrible’ as opposed to a few years ago when they were all great. Shame to have such a beautiful location taken over by such an aggressive man and bad food - really nice things could be done...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the most beautiful restaurant I've ever been to. From the moment my fiancé and I walked in, we were captivated by its romantic atmosphere. We were fortunate enough to secure the best seat by the sea, which offered breathtaking views. The combination of good music and a delightful ambiance further enhanced the overall experience.

Although the service was only satisfactory, the stunning view overshadowed any shortcomings. It seemed like our server was relatively new, as their performance could have been more polished. However, considering the overall experience, it was forgivable.

The prices at the restaurant were reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the splendid location. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the restroom, which is always a good sign of a well-maintained establishment.

We visited the restaurant a month before the high season, which worked to our advantage as it was not crowded at all. However, we heard that during the high season, making a reservation a couple of days in advance is essential to secure a table.

In summary, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in terms of beauty and romance. The mesmerizing view, combined with good music and ambiance, created an unforgettable experience. While the service was decent, it was the breathtaking surroundings that truly stole the show. We booked a table online prior to our holiday in Crete. On the booking notes, we clearly stated the table was only for drinks, as we were celebrating a birthday. Reservation came back confirmed, with email from restaurant owner.

We arrived to the restaurant, was sat at a table at the waters edge. Extremely overcrowded. Basically 30cm gap in between tables, you could hear everyone’s conversations due to how squished we were.

We ordered our drinks, which at that point in time the server told us that we had to order food.

We’ve already eaten elsewhere, so we said we were here for just drinks, which was noted on the reservation we made online via their website.

The owner was called over, where he repeatedly stated that they don’t do drinks only, and it has been a rule for over 10 years. Meanwhile, this was not stated on their website, or on the reservation confirmation.

The owner said he could not find our initial booking, and he asked us to leave.

Eventually after we persisted, he did find our original booking, to which he said “if this says drinks only, free drinks all night”, well right there we pointed out in the reservation notes we said drinks only.

We did not stay, as honestly this has ruined our night, all because he did not check the reservation notes. He was so adamant that we were the ones in the wrong.

No customer service whatsoever, we did not even get a genuine apology after he realized that we did indeed write Drinks Only on the reservation.
