Énastron — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

This is one of the sidewalk cafe/tavernas with an ideal location, and nothing else out of the ordinary. In fact, on my most recent visit, the service almost did not exist (the waiter never visited after delivery, I had to hunt him like wild game to pay), and despite really nice eggs over easy, someone's idea to save money on bread in favor or thin pita crisped into a tortilla-like accompaniment was - just bad.

I suggested to the waiter after paying that bread, perhaps grilled, might be a better choice. His wonderful Crete Filoxenia (Love of strangers) response? "Maybe next time."

Go here if you want just a shade below average value. The eggs were good, which means they know how to do it, but...

Dimitris could not have been any more welcoming. He could see I was struggling but was extremely hospitable. I had no intention of eating, but he brought us cold water and let us stay in the shade. My father and I eventually had a meal and we sat for four hours, while we waited for the rest of our family to return from their excursion. Το καλύτερο μέρος για να συχνάζεις στο Ηράκλειο, έχει οτιδήποτε έχεις όρεξη. Έχω πάει άπειρες φορές και καθε φορά πάω με την ίδια όρεξη όπως την πρώτη φορά, δεν γίνεται να το βαρεθείς για κανένα λόγο, ο,τι έχεις όρεξη να φας ή να πιεις υπάρχει. Την Παρασκευή που πήγα με την παρέα μου φάγαμε πανκεικς και βαφλες με παγωτό και ήταν πεντανοστημα όλα !! Έχει πάρα πολλές γεύσεις παγωτού να διαλέξεις, η γεύση καραμέλα είναι η καλύτερη για μένα, αν πάτε να διαλέξετε αυτή την γεύση θα με θυμηθείτε!! Εννοείται τα πανκεικς και οι βαφλες είναι φουλ με την σοκολάτα που έχετε επιλέξει, είναι...
