We recently had the pleasure of dining at Mavros Katis my partner and I, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from the moment we walked in until the last bite. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Our server provided excellent recommendations and was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. Considering the exceptional quality of the food and the overall dining experience, it offers excellent value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and the pricing was reasonable, especially given the high standard of service and cuisine. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a celebratory meal, or a casual night out with friends, Mavros Katis is the perfect choice. The versatility of the menu and the welcoming atmosphere make it suitable for any occasion.

In conclusion, it exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a gem of a restaurant that I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. I will undoubtedly be returning to enjoy more of their culinary delights in the near future!

“A place unlike any other…”

Right in the heart of Heraklion, hidden inside a passageway you’d easily walk past, I stumbled upon Mavros Katis. A mystical spot, with a courtyard unlike any other — full of greenery, coolness, and an inexplicable sense of calm.

It’s not the kind of place that tries to impress with noise or flash, but with its atmosphere. The people who gather here seem to come from completely different worlds: from the most well-dressed gentleman to the quiet artist reading poetry at their table.

A rare place of coexistence, with beautiful music, unique flavors, and a vibe that makes you feel… somewhere...

Από τι να αρχίσω;Μας χρέωσε 2 μερίδες ψωμί που η δύο μερίδες είχαν 3 φέτες σύνολο και που μας χρέωσε καταλάθος αλλά 3 πιάτα τα οποία δεν είχαμε παραγγείλει με αποτέλεσμα το ποσό που θα δίναμε να γίνει διπλάσιο από το προκαθορισμένο. Ο σεφ δεν φορούσε γάντια ή σκούφο με τόσο μαλλί. Ο εξωτερικός χώρος είναι όμορφος αλλά θέλει περιποίηση πιστεύω θα ήταν ένα τέλειο μαγαζί άμα το πρόσεχαν παραπάνω.Τα καθίσματα και τα τραπέζια λερωμένα.Δεν τα σκουπίζουν πριν φέρουν τα πιάτα. Η μερίδες πολύ μικρές τα πιάτα πολύ μικρά .Στο τραπέζι λειπει αλάτι πιπέρι και λάδι χαρτοπετσέτες.Ζητησαμε το wifi και δεν μας το έφερε ποτέ.Τους είπα να πάρουν το ψωμί πίσω γιατί δεν τρώμε ψωμί και δεν ήταν σωστό να το χρεωσουν 2 φορές επειδή ειμασταν 2 άτομα.Μας έφεραν ουσιαστικό 3 φέτες ψωμί και επειδή ειμασταν 2 άτομα μας τα χρέωσαν 2 φορές.Πρωτη φορά το βλέπω αυτό.Παραγγείλαμε σουτζουκάκια και μας ήρθαν 2 καμένα αυγά και μικρές γραμμές κιμά από πάνω ,που και αυτά ήταν καμένα.Το μπουγιουρντι ήταν απλά φέτα.Ειχαμε έρθει για να πάρουμε πρωινό αλλά επειδή έλεγε στο κατάλογο ότι το τοστ ήταν 2,50€ φαντάστηκαμε ότι θα ήταν το κλασικό μικρό τριγωνικό τοστ και είπαμε να πάρουμε κυρίως.Μονο κυρίως δεν ήταν.Μπορει να το δείτε οικονομικό αλλά αξίζει να πάρετε καλύτερα μια τυρόπιτα από τον Γρηγόρη ή τον τωρινό manolo ή να πάτε να πάρετε σαλάτα στο beer o clock.Με 6€ παίρνεις από το καλαμάκι γύρο 45 εκατοστα και εμείς δώσαμε 11€ για μια φέτα και 2 άθλια αυγά.Επιπλεον με 5€ παίρνεις ολόκληρη φέτα από το σούπερ μάρκετ και όχι ένα μικρό κομμάτι που μας έφεραν.Για αυτό δεν υπήρχε καθόλου κόσμος στο κατάστημα.Παλια μπορεί όντως να ήταν ωραίο κατάστημα ,να διοργάνωνε συναυλίες αλλά τώρα δεν υπάρχει καθόλου κόσμος εκεί και λογικά θα είναι οι...
