Ate here twice during our 5 night stay. The first time would have received 5 stars but on our second visit last night the service was not so good, even though more staff were present the waiters spent a lot of time chatting outside to family (I assume) so it was difficult to get attention. However would not put us off returning as the food was very good and the environment good. There are daily specials in addition to the regular menu. Highlights were the pork belly and the potatoes that accompanied the oven cooked pork. Like everywhere we have visited so far in Iraklio, the concept of starter followed by main course does not exist so order separately if you want two courses. Also the starters are massive so order with caution. Free dessert and local liqueur was a nice touch. For two people with a litre of house red the bill came to 34 and 36.50. Read moreI've been here with my girlfriend today and we found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. We both really enjoyed the dinner here, the food was great and really tasty (I just left the Cretan Sausages cause there were spices I don't like, I guess it was cumin, but still I could say it was good anyway!). The Chicken with cheese was my favourite dish and I highly recommend it! The price was quite cheap compared to others but still the quality high. Another thing was the service, the guys were really kind and professional and they could speak a good English. I feel sorry because I had a misunderstanding while I was ordering and I got 2 portions of chicken, I think it was my fault cause I was not clear while I was ordering, but we fixed it anyway. They offered a dessert at the end which we appreciated very much. We highly recommend this place and we hope to come back ☺️

Read moreOn the first day of our vacation in Heraklion, we came here for dinner. For the main course, we had grilled octopus and fried squid. As starters, we ordered stuffed zucchini leaves, tzatziki, and baked feta—of course, accompanied by some ouzo.
Everything we ate was absolutely delicious, especially the main dishes—they were outstanding! The tzatziki was a bit salty for my taste, but still very flavorful.
The restaurant is just a 10-minute walk from the city center. We paid around €55 in total, which included everything. After the meal, they offered us dessert and raki on the house, which was a lovely touch.
If you’re visiting Heraklion, this place is definitely a must-try. The flavors are fantastic and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming.
There was also an adorable cat that seemed to be part of the restaurant’s charm. You might spot her...
