Frankly cafe — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

Very popular amongst the locals. Excellent cold brew and works great for all coffee lovers as they sell coffee too. I had food too which was great. I had a club sandwich which comes with fries (10/10) and the second time I tried Avo toast which comes on a sourdough bread piece which is great as in Heraklion I didn’t find many places to serve it on sourdough. They also have lovely cakes. I tried the carrot cake and it has amazing creamy frosting. Only one thing that I didn’t like, was that they had a breakfast and a lunch menu. You could order breakfast all day but lunch was available from 12:00 pm onwards. Personally the lunch menu is much better if you are a person that prefers savoury like me. I tried the pancakes from a friend and they were very sweet for my taste. If you have a sweet tooth they’re definitely great for you. I would suggest making an all day menu as it’s a coffee place mainly and not a restaurant. Also making the vegan options clearer in the menu. Overall great staff...

Recommended to us by our hotel receptionist so we could grab a quick bite to eat while we waited for our rooms to be ready. I love when someone says that’s where they personally like to eat themselves because that’s a green flag all the way!!

Food was very good. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. First time I’ve ever had a Benedict meal in a bowl. This made it difficult to cut since you’re working with limited space in the bowl. Once you get going though it becomes easier to eat. It has all the traditional flavors you’d expect. I sampled the yogurt bowls and I would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for something light to eat.

Edit: Went back a second time. I just absolutely love this place. Coffee is fantastic! Do yourself a favor and try the churros....

I visited this morning and while the food was good and the coffee was good, I was confronted by the rude employee/manager. I had been there with my laptop, only 45 minutes and I had barely finished my food and hadn't even ordered my coffee and then the employee comes and says we have to move you inside because laptops are not allowed on Saturdays. I explained to him that I wanted to sit outside and that he should have informed me from the beginning about this policy of the store because then I wouldn't have sat down. He then told me that even without the laptop I wouldn't have been able to sit for more than an hour and a half or two because they don't allow that either. I explained to him that I had consumed alcohol and that I hadn't been there for even an hour but with his apathy and attitude he made me feel like an intrusion so I left. He didn't even apologize. I haven't achieved this anywhere in the world. I don't recommend it because this attitude creates a disturbance for you and you can't enjoy a breakfast or a coffee that you might have waited all winter for.

Το επισκέφτηκα σήμερα το πρωί και ενώ το φαγητό ήταν καλό όπως και ο καφές, ήρθα αντιμέτωπη με τον αγενέστατο υπάλληλο/ υπεύθυνο. Είχα πάει με το λαπτοπ μου, μόλις 45 λεπτά και ίσα ίσα είχα τελειώσει με το φαγητό μου και δεν είχα πει ακομα τον καφέ και τότε έρχεται ο υπάλληλος και μου λέει πρέπει να σας μετακινησουμε μέσα γιατί το Σάββατο δεν επιτρέπονται τα λαπτοπ. Του εξήγησα ότι ήθελα να κάτσω έξω και ότι θα έπρεπε να με είχε ενημερώσει εξαρχής για την πολιτική αυτή του καταστήματος γιστι ετσι δεν θα καθόμουν. Στη συνέχεια μου είπε ότι και χωρίς το λαπτοπ δεν θα μπορούσα να κάτσω πάνω από μιάμιση ή δυο ώρες γιατί και αυτό δεν το επιτρέπουν. Του εξήγησα ότι έχω κάνει κατανάλωση και ότι δεν είμαι εκεί ούτε μια ώρα αλλά με την απάθεια και τη στάση του με έκανα να νιώσω παρεισακτη οπότε έφυγα. Δεν ζήτησε ούτε συγνώμη. Αυτό δεν το έχω πετύχει πουθενά σε όλο τον κόσμο. Δεν το προτείνω γιατί η στάση αυτή σου δημιουργεί αναστάτωση και δεν μπορείς να απολαύσεις ένα πρωινό ή έναν καφέ που ενδεχομένως να περίμενες...
