Hacienda — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

If the amazingly delicious food wasn't enough, Andreas and the Hacienda team are also the best! Exceptional and friendly service, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable and we felt welcome immediately. We have been traveling all around Greece and this has been the one place we keep going back to. Here we enjoyed the best eggs Benedict we have ever had, and we have had many! The Harvest is also a must try, it's unlike anything we have had before and very delicious. We of course had to get oat milk cappuccinos to accompany our breakfast which were also some of the best we've had in all of Greece, we could never get just one! Everything we got here was delicious, other dishes of note are: the Cretan pancakes with creamy and delicious mizithra, the peanut butter banana bowl that was delicious and had a perfect mix of creaminess, crunchiness from the roasted hazelnuts, and fruitiness from the banana, the waffle that was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the Caesar salad that was crunchy and delicious. Thank you again to Andreas for providing to us excellent food, recommendations, and an unforgettable experience! This made our trip to Crete and we look forward...

Lovely place and lovely staff. We had a bit of issue communicating with them at first due to our lovely server’s English but things were sorted out.

Food was delicious and prices are good for the portion sizes.

They were very kind to alter our order to make without cream and cheese due to dietary restrictions.

Wait time was about 45 mins for the food since this place can be very crowded during brunch hours.

They did printed and left the bill on a clip onto our table even before the food arrived which I felt was a bit weird and felt like it was discouraged to order anything more on the side for example another coffee/drink but they still took our order for another round of drinks.

Restroom is located in the next door hotel downstairs and opens with a 4 digit lock code, ask for the code and directions from the staff

Must disrespectful and non responsible staff ever seen in my life.

We asked for the quick breakfast and waitress counted some stuff that will take more time like 20-30 minutes so we did not want them and ordered quick ones according to them.

Then we waited for our food. 30 minutes passed and still no response. After I spoke with male waiter about our food and he responded to me it is normal to wait for such a long time in direspectful manner. But suddenly and magically in 1-2 minutes they brought our food.

Food quality was also low. Pancakes were overly sweet and Kayana was overly spicy. Or maybe they did it on purpose following my argument on timing with them.

At the end they wanted to offer me not to pay for the food but who cares? Of course I always pay for my food.
