Seriously, this place is a tequila lover’s paradise and the ultimate hotspot for people-watching. Forget Netflix; my new favorite show is “Humans of Bar 1821”! From the moment we walked in, Xristos and George treated us like we were the long-lost, slightly tipsy cousins they never knew they needed. They were so friendly that I half-expected them to ask us to move in with them (don’t worry, Xristos—I brought my own tequila!). Their warm hospitality made us feel less like customers and more like part of the family, minus the awkward holiday dinners where Uncle Bob talks too much. Now, let’s talk tequila. Bar 1821 has more varieties than I have questionable life choices! We sampled everything from smooth sippers to fiery shots that had us questioning whether we were trying tequila or a liquid rocket fuel. And every time we took a shot, Xristos and George would join in, turning our drinking game into a full-blown family reunion—tequila style! But the real magic happened when we started people-watching. By the end of our first night, we were so smitten with the vibe and the people we met that we literally extended our stay by TWO extra days. We went on a Saturday in the middle of August so it was understandably very busy. However, we waited for 30 minutes in the queue for a drink and another 20 minutes for the drink itself. Greek speaking guests were prioritised, skipping in front of us at the register.
