Grill House — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalamata

August 2021: Me and my husband were recommended this place by some locals. We ordered several times to our home. The first times the food (souvlaki) was very good and tasty. Handmade gyros. The kalamaki pork is delicious. The last time we ordered souvlaki gyros, both pork and chicken, they were NOT good (we ordered within 1 hour of the grill house opening hours). The gyros pork was tiny crumbles, and dry. The souvlaki chicken had very little meat, and half the souvlaki was french fries. All of the food was cold on delivery (which took more than 30 minutes from when we placed the order). Also, NEVER order their portions from the menu!!! We ordered sausage portion (1 sausage and 5 french fries and half a lime) for 5.80€. The sausage was burned black, and I could hardly chew a small piece of it. We also ordered 1 portion of kotosouvli pork (3 peaces of meat (dry and not tasty), and 1 pita cut in 4 pieces and 5 french fries, a small cup of tzatziki and some pieces of tomato and onion) for 7.50€. A portion is supposed to be shared by 2 people. This was hardly enough for 1. My husband is Greek, and this is not what you are supposed to get. The kalamaki kebab was normal sized and tasty.

August '21, Greek guy here. We've had dinner there a couple of times, and also had food delivered at our apartment several other times. The food was never the same, there's no cohesion, it's different according to who prepares/makes it. All of the Main Portions are tiny, NOT at all worth their money. Souvlakis (we tried all flavors) are okish. The sausage souvlaki contains a tiny piece of meat. The sausage portion (5,80 euros) delivered at home, was a 15cm completely BURNED black sausage, unable to cut with a knife.. Awful.. we threw it away. Sometimes Gyros Pork is ok, other times they put all the tiny crumbles of meat, from the main form containing the gyros into our souvlaki.. Hideous.. After having food from them several times within 2 weeks of our stay in Kalamata, there were NO receipts issued.. Not once.. Only "Lookalike" fake receipts. Sleazy attitude.. Only food somehow ok are their skewers. Grilled Chicken is overpriced. not even worth it....

Excellent grill house. All the food we had there was delicious. I'd like to particularly recommend the pork steak and the kebab. The Greek salad was also perfect. The prices are also very reasonable. We spent a couple of days in Kalamata and we kept coming back...
