We got the place recommended through people in our hotel. And we were most definitely not disappointed. It's a little hard to find as you'll need to pass by the "A" locations, but Mike's restaurant will compensate this by amazing food and one of the nicest hospitality on the whole island we experienced during our holiday.
Mike, the owner and his son were very kind and we had a lot of interesting chats with them. His son was incredibly friendly and caring, making sure that we enjoyed every bite of food and our drinks. He even shared some more insights on how some of the food was made. With Mike - the owner - we had a great chat about the island, the people, his family and his history as the restaurant owner.

Read moreChose this place during the evening rush hour and failed to notice the touristy decoration on the indoor hall walls that would have otherwise "warned" us, before sitting. Once we were served the toasted (!) bread as a starter it became obvious.
Mike's restaurant is stuck in some older decade. Mediocre to poor quality ingredients, plain cooking, bland taste. And to make things worse: inexcusable high prices.
Overall a sad experience considering that the location has potential and the service (owners?) seemed like trying.
Until Kitchen Nightmare's Gordon Ramsay (or a miracle) visits, you can find much better and/or worthy places...
Read moreWe were so happy we chose to dine at Mike’s Restaurant. We got the real traditional Greek family dining feel. Niko was our server at this family owned restaurant named after his grandfather. The appetizers, moussaka, seafood spaghetti were so delicious that we wanted to try their dessert too! And so glad we did because the baklava was unforgettable.
