Avanti all day bar restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

The food was very good. My wife and I ordered 2 mains and a bottle of wine. The total came to €61. I gave the hostess €70, expecting her to return with the change. She did not! I went to the cash register to ask for change, but did not get any because they did not have any small bills. In the end, they received a very large tip by Greek standards. I should have asked for my cash back and paid by card, but I did not. I am extremely disappointed that they did not have change, but most of all, that the hostess just assumed that she could walk away with a large tip, and not even attempt to bring back change. Her arrogance was incredible. I would like to add, that I reached out to the restaurant via their website, and have yet to receive a response from them. Maybe the arrogance filters down...

We had such a great experience at Avanti during our holiday that we ended up eating there three times (and even ordered once via Wolt). That alone should tell you how much we loved it!

The food was fantastic. We enjoyed delicious fresh pizzas and pastas, full of flavor and perfectly prepared every time. But what truly made our visits special was the incredibly friendly staff.

A very special thank you to Fotis, who went above and beyond. He not only helped us pick out the best local wines (which we absolutely loved), but also taught us a few Greek words along the way. Such a warm and genuine person, he really made us feel welcome.

We have spent 2 weeks in Kos. We have had from our hotel diner included, which was at the Avanti restaurant. I would say 2 weeks is too long for having a set menu, but we won't complain because the food is just delicious, especially the Stromboli. The staff is very friendly, which we want to thank you for having the patience with us. Thank you for the Ouzo treat on our last dinner night. This topped our Greek experience. I'm sorry, guys, but hopefully to see you next year and we can't promise that it will be less than 2...
