There's absolutely no way I'd ever stop in here again. I had read the posts but others in my family didn't and chose this............ so here we are. When we arrived they had not a single customer and didn't for quite a while. I had noticed this because I was walking around the area for a bit & they were empty.
Food did not impress at all, their saganaki was absolutely gross, I truly felt like I was about to toss right there, if you know what I mean I had to spit out the bite I had. Next, I don't think the server knows what a smile is so that goes a long way. We asked for something to which he says we don't have that we're all out but we do have it in large so I figure ok then, rather than order 2 small sticks we'll get the 1 large stick like he said with the bigger chunks but nooooo instead he brings the dinner the actual main, which we didn't want but got stuck paying for so watch out. The service was very slow and the host was more interested in making other people come in than looking after the people already there. For example, in between taking our order he would shout across the road at passers by attempting to get them to come in. He also didn’t bring us water after much prompting and we ended up just getting it from the fridge ourselves. For a starter we had the naxian salad which was great! And for mains we had stuffed calamari and octopus. The calamari was chewy and very overcooked and under seasoned the octopus was better but still overcooked. The chips given were okay. We then were rushed out of the restaurant like many others we had seen to pay. Would...
Read moreIf you’re looking for authentic Greek food, this spot in Naxos is as real as it gets food, service, and overall experience. Every dish tasted like something my yiayia would make full of flavour, cooked to perfection, and made with love.
The portion sizes are massive, so come hungry! You’ll definitely get incredible value for money each plate feels like a proper home cooked feast.
The staff were super friendly and always on top of service without ever hovering. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and the food they serve.
From start to finish, it was one of those meals that makes you feel right at home warm, generous, and absolutely delicious.
Couldn’t recommend it...
