Golden Beach Cafe — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

My husband and I stayed for four days in a hotel nearby, and we came to this cafe or sat in this cafe’s beach chairs literally every day. It was definitely a highlight of our stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I asked for yogurt with strawberries (on the menu), and one of the owners highly recommended adding honey to it, and it was a great recommendation because it was delicious! They work tirelessly to ensure that you have a great experience. The cafe is lovely to sit in, and it has good views of the ocean past the beach beds. They start to play some light, chill music in the afternoons. You can use their beach loungers as long as you purchase something from the cafe. We were here at the end of May, and neither the cafe nor the beach loungers were ever entirely full- which we preferred! The beach and their cafe are both a very relaxing vibe. General Naxos advice: if you are looking for a daytime beach club with a DJ and fun, loud music for dancing, you will not find this on Agios Prokopios beach- at least not at the end of May/first week of June. The typical beach place where you pay for the view, because the food is as tasteless as it can be. We ordered an omelette (was actually scrambled eggs) and nor the vegetables or the cheese had any flavor. Couldn't even fix it with salt and pepper, damage is done from the kitchen. Of course prices are aligned with the view, not the flavor.

Thanks for the quick and detailed reply—and for checking out my other reviews. Just to clarify: I leave reviews when a place really makes me feel something, whether it’s great or disappointing. If it’s just average, I usually don’t bother. And actually, that same day I left a positive review for a small spot just a couple of blocks away.

Since you took the time to respond, I’ll do the same. I wasn’t complaining about the eggs—I just pointed out that the menu said “omelette” but what I got were scrambled eggs. That’s all. Went in for a frappe & a regular filtered coffee and both were good, the filtered one especially was really good, I like they way they serve it, definitely going in tomorrow too, service was very nice too, with a great view,my family said they really enjoyed the items they bought, another good place to stop into.
