Port…ara Coffee & Brunch — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Will not be coming back here.

Coffee was okay BUT no prices were shown on menu above cashier nor was I told the price when asked to pay!

We sat outside to drink only to be told that we need to get up and go as we paid for takeaway not to sit. I was NOT asked if I'm sitting or taking away nor was I told there was a price difference as there were no prices listed to begin with.

THEN I asked a waiter how much each Coffee was and he answered 4.80 EACH only for the cashier to come over and say he charged 5 for BOTH drinks (it doesn't make sense that two waiters have different answers!). Prices should be fixed and not adjusted based on who is serving you. This is one big indication of the kind of establishment that this place is.

I should have asked for a receipt. Despicable attitude by one of the staff insisting we get up even though we weren't ask if we want to sit down or take away AND THE PLACE WASNT EVEN PACKED OR BUSY (if there were other patrons whose table I had taken by sitting there, I would understand, but there was literally nobody there ) The price difference, lack of visibile prices and attitude should deter anyone from going there. The best spot for coffee and brunch which is right by the port as well! The signature club sandwich was fresh and you could tell the ingredients were top notch quality. The coffee was strong, full of flavor and very aromatic, the best i had in my whole stay in the island. The staff were incredibly friendly which made the whole experience even better.My girlfriend got the banoffee pancakes and she kept wanting to come back for more. During our whole stay in the island not a day passed without a visit there. Definitely one of the highlights of our vacation here to naxos right beside Portara. Exactly as with other review: Coffee itself is good Open early in the morning Kind staff You are not informed on the price difference "take-away" vs "sit at the table" and got charged for take-away without even asking. I decided to sit down and in 15 minutes was kindly informed that in such a case I should've paid another price.

I don't remember a clear indication about this in written form anywhere either. Be aware and inform barista ahead while making the order. I understand this rule and not against it but business should inform customers ahead. Otherwise morning coffee is transformed into morning embarrassment and...
