We went with high expectations but on entering it looked dull & gloomy, no lights lit and not very welcoming ( maybe their electricity wasn't turned on yet ? ) We placed our order of olives & dish of garlic & tomato mussels & they were ok, but the wife's steak with peppercorn sauce was inedible, she'd asked for it medium but it came well done & very very chewy, there were no obvious signs it'd actually been cooked on a skillet & almost as if it's been cooked in a microwave & the peppercorn sauce was totally bland & tasteless so was pushed to the side of the plate. My moussaka was passable but obviously cooked from frozen so it lacked the quality of a freshly made meal, and at the price I'd paid I'd expect a freshly made meal !! Lovely Taverna run my a brilliant family. If that's not enough the view towards the setting sun is amazing. Oh! Love the food. That is exceptional. August 2024 and just returned home. Fantasea Restaurant was as good as ever despite being hit by power cuts. The good was delicious and cooked to a perfection that I'd be glad to serve up. The prices are very good, we'd stayed in two resorts prior to Agios Stefanos and I'd say they were 20% dearer for similar. Beautiful restaurant! Best place we’ve tried in Corfu, staff are lovely and polite, food is fantastic and fresh! We have a few people in our party with dietary requirements and they were extremely accommodating! One member has multiple allergies and another gluten free vegan and everything was perfect! The briam is delicious, the deserts, everything! Also theres a wonderful atmosphere with the view on the sea. The toilets are very clean and nice and so is the whole restaurant.
