Bouboulina cafe — Restaurant in Municipality of Piraeus

My visit to Bouboulina Cafe offered a mixed bag of impressions. Nestled in a picturesque location, the cafe boasts a stunning enclosed veranda that affords a magnificent view of the sea, setting a serene backdrop for the evening. The service was commendable, with attentive and efficient staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience.However, the ambiance was marred by a rather perplexing observation: a significant number of patrons were smoking indoors. In the year 2024, it's surprising and somewhat disappointing to encounter this practice, as smoking indoors is generally prohibited in public spaces to ensure the health and comfort of all patrons. This oversight, or deliberate choice by the establishment, to allow smoking in a closed environment, detracts from the overall experience, casting a shadow over the cafe's many positives.It's a shame that such a beautiful venue with potential for a perfect dining experience is compromised by the allowance of indoor smoking. Bouboulina cafe left us with much to desire.

The main course was the mixed plate with a fried variety of fish for 20 euros. They gave us juice and a beer in the offering instead of a pair of wine, beer or utzo that was nice.

The waitres told us it was a mix of fish, shrimp and squid and no more.

When it was delivered we found out that it was deepfried and probably coated with a thin layer of flour. All of it.

It was not good and we told it to The waitres who argued she told us, when infact she did'nt.

We paid the full amount, and after Another Waiter asked if it was good, we told him it was not and he told us that he Would tell it to The others. And last the waiter who got us in at The restaurant also came down to aplogize.

Well honestly don't order the mixed fish dish it is bad and the staff does not take pride in...

Beautiful view on the sea, but disappointed with the service. The menus are all dirty and sticky. I ordered 2 rakomelo 250ml, we were given probably no more than 75ml each. Plus, rakomelo is supposed to be served hot (I asked beforehand the waitress and she confirmed that it was served hot), but when it arrived it was just room temperature. I asked 3 times for the bill to a waiter, and every time he said "Yes!" but then he never came back with the bill. When eventually I went to him asking for the bill for the 4th time, he said "You have to ask her!" pointing at another waitress. ...Are you joking? 😅 So I went to the other waitress and finally managed to pay for my drinks.
