Nakhal Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

Nice location. We didn’t try the kitchen this year, but it was good before Covid. This rewiev is about the beach area. My general opinion is that Nakhal is 60/40 locals and tourists.

In 2022 they have start playing loud beat housemusic both in the bar and at the beach. All day long… Probably a bad idea if they want tourist to relax, come back every day, and eat lunch at their establishment. And I guess thats why the old people (that dont know they have better options) ocupy the beachbeds furthest away on the right side. Bad for buisness, this is Rethymnon with families and old, not Nikki Beach.

Two sunbeds and umbrella first roe is 10 euro. Locals just have to buy a juice/cofee. They dont bring you a meny at the bed. You probably order next to the subwoofer.

If you want service and relax, walk 50 meters to Hotell Atlantis (5*)beach. No house/club music, 7 euro sundbeds with umbrella, fantastic service...

I went there today (early September) for a coffee for my girlfriend while I took an orange juice. The coffee wasn't so bad but the milk was probably almond (we asked for normal milk). My orange juice was the same you take from the supermarket but I paid 6€ for a coffee and that supermarket juice.. I would say that's too much. I'm Italian and I'm not very used to pay around 2€ for an espresso.. The bar is instead very well located with a great view. Thw staff...
