We visited this restaurant on 28.12, drawn in by the glowing reviews on Google. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The place was bustling, which initially seemed like a promising sign. The menus were brought to us right away, but unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended.

What followed was an incredibly frustrating 25 minutes of waiting—just for someone to take our order. Despite deciding what we wanted fairly quickly, we found ourselves ignored while every table around us was being served. We tried to catch the staff’s attention multiple times, making eye contact and even directly asking for assistance. My husband asked twice, and I asked once, only to be told each time that someone would come “in an instant.” That instant never came.

Eventually, we had enough and decided to leave. On our way out, I mentioned to the server that if they can’t handle the volume of customers, they shouldn’t invite more people to sit. Instead of an apology, I was met with a dismissive “Fine, have a good day.” This summed up how they seemed to view their customers: as expendable.

It’s a shame because the initial impression was so positive. But poor service—and especially a lack of accountability—can completely ruin a dining experience. If this restaurant continues to take its customers for granted, I suspect their stellar reputation won’t last...

If you're looking for a restaurant that serves up authentic Greek cuisine that is both delicious and comforting, you need to check out this gem of a place!

One of the standout dishes that you simply must try is the octopus and chickpeas soup. This hearty, savory soup is a true delight for the senses. The octopus is perfectly cooked and tender, and the chickpeas add a delightful nutty flavor and a satisfying crunch. The broth is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice to warm you up on a chilly day. It's a dish that is sure to leave you feeling satisfied and completely satisfied.

But the soup is just the beginning of the culinary journey at this restaurant. The menu is filled with delicious and authentic Greek dishes.

The staff at this restaurant is also top-notch. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help you navigate the menu or recommend a dish. You'll feel right at home from the moment you walk in, and the hospitality will keep you coming back for more.

Overall, I highly recommend this Greek restaurant to anyone who appreciates delicious food and great atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for a satisfying soup, a hearty meal, or just a glass of wine and some appetizers, this restaurant is sure to deliver an...

Wow, not sure where the positive reviews are coming from. For reference I'm an Orthodox priest (and dressed as such) we went in with my whole family.

Service was clearly in the "we'd prefer you not dine here" category. We noticed that a large party that came in after us were greeted promptly and courteously, while we were practically snubbed. Maybe they didn't like that we were Americans?

We ordered 8 entres, all of which were incredibly meager and not at all "greek". Bland and poorly thrown together. The lamb chops were literally all fat and gristle. Another point of reference, I both love fat and gristle and I'm lebanese, so this is not an "American" who is picky take. I will say that the saganaki was well made as was the baked feta.

They brought us things we did not order and then tried to charge us for them. They are probably used to getting away with this with Western patrons.

If I lived in Greece I certainly wouldn't give them anymore business. They could take some lessons from their relatives in Chicago where they know how to...

We loved our dinner at Taverna o Loudros. We were staying in an apartment nearby and really enjoyed this part of the city. This restaurant was probably our favorite dining experience in Thessaloniki. The restaurant itself is very cute and cozy both inside and outside. There’s plenty of outside seating, which is really nice. The staff was all family (father, daughter, etc.) and they have owned this restaurant for multiple generations. They were extremely friendly from the beginning to the end and their pride in their restaurant and food was wonderful. The wine was really enjoyable and a phenomenal price. Even the house wine we enjoyed immensely; we got one of the white Greek House wines. We then ordered tzatziki, a salad, the grilled squid, and the Thessaloniki mussels with risotto and we loved all of them. The food was fresh, the seafood was very nicely cooked. We can’t wait to go back!

The food was tasty. The octopus tentacles were tender and flavorful, among the tastiest I've ever eaten. The price was very good, 14 euros. The waiter was very kind and changed our rice garnish for a french fries. Courgettes cooked breaded with tzatziki are a specialty of the house and a delicacy that must be tried. The wine of the house was good and cold and the beer was at a more than decent price. P.S. bottled water and bread can be refused without any offense on the House. Minuses: 50 ml of olive oil 2 euro, while the price for one liter is 6.5 euro in the market. For Greece I find it inadmissible to tax olive oil, the national good, even more so to sell it for 2 euros / 50 ml.
