Some of us like soup but Greek cuisine is poor on this dish. So I found reviews about this place on G Maps and decided to try their soups, especially the famous tripe soup based on an old recipe. Every now and then I like to eat tripe soup so I am familiar with this dish (for the novices, please note it is not such a common taste; is not everybody's favourite). I tried their recipe and can confirm they've got "the art of tripe soup" to the max (they are doing it for dozens of years). But you've got to know your taste so they can spice it and add tripe meat just as you like it. A little too much spice and is sour, a little too less and is dull, a little too much tripe and is a meal, not a soup. Just enough of what it needs and is a soup to remember. I highly recommend it for the tripe soup (for connoisseurs ) but also for all soup lovers. My wife also enjoyed her vegetable soup. Serving is great, prices are reasonable, location is rather quiet. The place is something between canteen and restaurant (or so it seems) - this is why I give it 4 stars. Do not expect high class, just good soups

This is a classic in Thessaloniki's food market. You should definitely try the beef tripe soup called "patsas" which is traditional Greek delicacy especially after a night of heavy drinking. ENJOY! Patsas: Tripe soup or tripe stew is a soup or stew made with tripe (cow or lamb/mutton stomach). It is widely considered to be a hangover remedy. Its origins are in Greece, Turkey and Romania. Magiritsa: Magiritsa is a Greek soup made from lamb offal, associated with the Easter (Pascha) tradition of the Greek Orthodox Church. In some parts of Greece, most notably Thessaly, it is not served as soup but rather as a "fricassee", where it contains only offal and large variety of vegetables, but no onions or rice, as in the soup. Horta: Greek Greens Salad is one of the easiest Greek dishes to prepare! These tasty greens are flavored with olive oil and fresh lemon juice, and are a staple

A very good family style restaurant selling home cooked food. At the front of the restaurant there is a large hot plate displaying some of the dishes on offer. At the back in the kitchen you can hear the chopping of the meat and tripe that goes into one of their most famous dishes. Looking at the menu it is clear to see many dishes that would be seen as 'homely' food, similar to that cooked in family households all over Greece. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Many local people appear to arrive, order (by looking in the window), eat and leave quickly. Beers et al were on offer, but many people were drinking water with their soup.

Really negativ experiance

My family and I decided to choose a restaurant where they have a variety of food, but cooked food-soup,... Upon arrival, everything inside was occupied, there was all single table outside. I consulted with the cashier, we sat outside, where we were supposed to be served, even was 5 degrees. After some time, several tables outside were occupied. The waitress ignored us and served a few tables, serving everyone who came later - probably locals. We were patient, we waited exactly 1 hour and 10 minutes when she came to the table and considering that she do not speak english, she turned around and ignored us again. I strongly do not advise to choose a place where neurosis reigns and win, the owner shoutsand scream on their workers when serving and also to us,when we told him that we wait 1 hour outside, that we still have to wait our turn to order,... Absolutly not friendly place... There were People, who saw everything and even told to woman who served-and she suthed them also ,that we need to wait... A street away from them is a restaurant where they serve you (same prices, white table cloth, delicious food) at a much...
