Harry's Spot Cafe — Restaurant in Municipality of Thessaloniki

This place has gone downhill. Once a thriving student go-to spot after and between classes, it has detiorated with the pandemic.

Being the "sinkhole"of after-classes students, its almost always full to the brim and usually obnoxiously loud and tiring to be there. Infrastructure doesn't do anything to help with this. The already problematic wooden floorboard in the outside area gets increasingly close to being a ghost ship's deck and the tables just go along with the "waves". Recently it had some power outtages and the experience was not great. Whenever it rains it leaks and if its windy and cold you better be prepared in terms of clothing, whatever heating it has out there feels nonexistent. The further outside area is only for when there is perfect weather, and the upstairs area gets very little attention from staff.

The staff can differ wildly. There are the occasional sweet people who are kind and wanna do their job (and manage to do so very well) despite the chaotic nature of this place. But oftentimes you'll come across bitter people, who quite literally stand over a group of people actively trying to decide what to order and make everyone anxiously pick something haphazardly. Cutlery is usually dirty or spotty, the waiters either forget something, mix something up, or dont bring straws, paper towels (absolutely never!). Usually they are all around and you can see them everywhere, but its super tiresome to flag them down because they dont look around for patrons to assist, often looking down.They do refill water quite often (usually taking almost full bottles and returning full ones) but the water tastes like copper and many minerals. Most get frustrated when people wanna pay by card. Lastly, god forbid someone in the group doesn't wanna spend money. They are persistent and annoyed when not everyone has ordered something. They are reluctant to leave and will throw in some passive-(slightly) aggressive "I have 7 orders and theres 8 of you" but not in a "did somebody forget or I didn't hear them" tone.

The prices have followed suit with everything else in this city, but to be called the number one student spot, and have a single coffee be upwards of 3.5€ is outrageous. Its obviously out of their hand how much prices have risen for them to buy, but If I wanted to pay that much money for a coffee (which unfortunately has tasted burned the past couple of times I tasted it), I'd have gone to the myriads of other coffee places which are specifically for that, with usually cheaper coffee. Food is also a no go, unfortunately. It used to be alright, when one needed to get something to snack on while playing, since most people spend upwards of 2 hours there, but nowdays it has a very, very limited selection and all of them are either sub-par or overpriced. This isn't compared to other places mind you, its compared to itself 3 years ago.

In terms of board games, I must give credit where it's due, despite the worn out nature of most of them, caused by 25 years of use by I'd say millions of students and others, they do a good job of keeping them together (as its the only thing bringing in good business) by laminating the cards and almost always replacing missing pieces. The game selection is massive, which has opened up opportunities for some seriously great fun.

But alas, since it isn't the only playhouse in Thessalokini offering such services, and with the rest of the issues I detailed, I simply can't...

A very interesting and creative place. You can spend time with friends playing games (no additional fees). There is a lot of space, you can sit there, there is also an upper floor and a terrace. Games in English and Greek. A very large selection of games. I only had coffee there, so I can't comment on the food. Double Greek coffee and frappe. Tasty and strong. Tea served with a separate jug of hot water to pour. However, by the time it was brought, the water had cooled down and the tea was not brewing as it should. Normal prices. The service was very nice and helpful. The TV and music in the room were not excessively loud, you could have a normal conversation. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the premises was poor. The floor under the table was sticky and stuck to the soles of my shoes, which was a very unpleasant feeling. Additionally, the handrail on the stairs is also sticky, it is better not to touch it. Due to cleanliness it gives 4 stars. I suggest you take care of the cleanliness of the premises because the place is really nice and atmospheric.

Un endroit très intéressant et créatif. Vous pouvez passer du temps avec des amis en jouant à des jeux (sans frais supplémentaires). Il y a beaucoup d'espace, on peut s'y asseoir, il y a aussi un étage et une terrasse. Jeux en anglais et en grec. Un très grand choix de jeux. Je n'y ai pris que du café, donc je ne peux pas faire de commentaire sur la nourriture. Double café grec et frappé. Savoureux et fort. Thé servi avec une carafe séparée d'eau chaude à verser. Cependant, au moment où on l’apportait, l’eau avait refroidi et le thé ne coulait pas comme il le devrait. Prix ​​normaux. Le service était très gentil et serviable. La télévision et la musique dans la chambre n'étaient pas trop fortes, on pouvait avoir une conversation normale. Malheureusement, la propreté des lieux laissait à désirer. Le sol sous la table était collant et collait aux semelles de mes chaussures, ce qui était une sensation très désagréable. De plus, la main courante des escaliers est également collante, il vaut mieux ne pas la toucher. En raison de la propreté, il donne 4 étoiles. Je vous propose de veiller à la propreté des lieux car l'endroit est vraiment sympa et atmosphérique.

Bardzo ciekawy i pomysłowy lokal. Można spędzić czas ze znajomymi grając w gry ( bez dodatkowych opłat) . Bardzo dużo miejsca, można usiąść w lokalu jest też piętro oraz taras . Gry w języku angielskim i greckim. Bardzo duży wybór gier. Ja byłam jedynie na kawie więc nie wypowiem się na temat jedzenia. Kawa podwójna grecka kawa i frappe. Smaczne i mocne. Herbata podawana z osobnym dzbankiem gorącej wody do zalania. Jednak zanim została przyniesiona woda przestygła i herbata nie zaparzyła się tak jak powinna. Ceny normalne . Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Tv i muzyka w lokalu nie były przesadnie głośne można prowadzić normalną rozmowę. Niestety w lokalu czystość na niskim poziomie. Podłoga pod stolikiem była lepka i kleiła się do podeszwy butów, było to bardzo nieprzyjemne uczucie. Dodatkowo poręcz na schodach również klejąca, lepiej nie dotykać . Ze względu na czystość daje 4 gwiazdki. Proponuje zadbać o czystość lokalu bo miejsce naprawdę bardzo fajne i...

I loved the concept of the Cafe bar!!! A bar with gaming gurus helping you play the best board games!!! Loved it It is such a great idea, you wanna go out with friends to drink, but in the meantime, you play a game, and you can make that whoever loses must have another drink! But honestly, it is beautiful, cosy, and welcoming 🙏. The managers are very caring. The girl working there was so nice to me, she's so adorable and welcoming! It means a lot to get such friendly service! Well done!
