Most visitors at some point will enjoy a walk at the "Nea Paralia" (New beach walk). Among others sights you'll reach the statue of Alexander the great riding his horse Bucephalas. A great spot to relax or snap a few photos.

Read moreI have mixed feelings and emotions about the park and the statue. The openess of the park. The breeze and the views are unique. In the middle of the promenade the statue of Alexander the Great, riding his horse named Vookefala. Am I suppose to be inspired? fell proud? Is this a piece of art? Or should I cry or get upset from the graffiti put probably by some kids? None of the above. I take some pictures and continue my walk on this amazing promenada that sometimes I called Unique jewel of Thessaloniki or Greece or Europe. This is probably the only place that all Thessalonikians can be proud and call it theirs. Yes. The promenade is an extention of their homes and their hearts....
