Shed is a small and pleasant cafe, and a coffee lovers delight. I was happily surprised to see they served flat whites - as other cafes I've visited in Greece simply don't offer them. There is a range of options when it comes to choosing the beans for your coffee. The coffee tastes great, the service is impeccable, and (bar the lack of coffee art) the presentation is lovely - coffee served on a tray with a complementary little red velvet cookie. You should note that you will be charged €0.5 to sit in, though I would say the atmosphere is worth it. I only wish there was more seating, and that they added latte art to their coffee. Although on seating, it was only an issue because this place is so popular - and for good reason.

THE (specialty) coffee place to go in Thessaloniki. Well crafted coffee with optional single origin beans and delicious sweets in a calming athmosphere with nice and competent staff. Highly recommended. You sit really nice at the corner of a block with the church of Acheiropoietos in front of you. The Japapnese approach comes through nicely also because of the cute cups. I had some delicious Ehtiopian Espresso and the Cappuccino of my partner was perfect as well. Tip: Go for the cookies, they‘re amazing! Will definitely come back when we return to Thessaloniki. Among the top 3 coffee spots in whole Greece for sure.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The coffee is sometimes really good and sometimes just okay, I think maybe it depends on the barista or how busy they are. For takeaway, it's not a bad choice. But, I don't think it's worth paying extra to sit down, when they still don't give you a real mug for your coffee or a real spoon to stir it with and it's still self serve. The paper cup gives the coffee a slight papery taste and makes the sit down experience feel kind of cheap. So, if I'm stuck with a paper cup, it seems better just to pay less, take it to go and sit in the park down the block.

Ordering and Service Honest Reviews reviewers joined the counter queue and received their drinks within minutes. Staff were upbeat, answered ingredient questions clearly, and kept the line moving. A row of pavement tables shaded by large market umbrellas lets guests relax without direct sun, confirming the venue’s outdoor‑seating focus. Service rating 4 / 5

Beverage Quality and Setting The reviewers ordered the Matcha Latte with Salted Caramel & Peach, drinks showed bright fruit notes over clean grassy tea. The texture trended slightly watery, yet flavour remained appealing and refreshing. Pricing matches other specialty cafĂ©s in Thessaloniki, offering good value for an inventive matcha. The reviewers also sampled a tiny cookie that comes with the matcha latte and was remarkably good (full size cookies can be bought aswell) which adds extra appeal for anyone with a sweet tooth. The Street ambience, light background music from inside, and steady foot traffic create an energetic but comfortable backdrop. Crowding at peak times is the only drawback though it moves quickly. Matcha rating 4 / 5 Ambience rating 4 / 5

Conclusion Shed pairs attentive service with a creative, well‑priced matcha latte in an open‑air setting. A touch more body in the drink would merit full marks, but the cafĂ© remains a clear recommendation for matcha...

Kind of an underwhelming experience unfortunately. Reality is that we found the cafe and it was japanese themed so we went there thinking we would find something kind of unique, however there was just the usual standard coffee options as in any cafe (and less). There were some cakes and very few tea options, and I was expecting at least a few tea options as it was Japan themed and Japanese tea tradition runs very deeply! If you want to just get a coffee and chill with a few friends then it's fine, just don't expect it to be japanese at all in terms of food and beverages (except from matcha but this can be found anywhere really), asides from some design choices...
