My family and I recently had the immense pleasure of dining at Lażiża Street Food in Thessaloniki, Greece, and I am thrilled to share that it was nothing short of spectacular. This is a relatively new spot in the area (well my last stay in Saloniki and consequently this area was in September last year) and tonight was my first dinner / take out experience there. I should say that whoever is behind this concept is very smart (the design of everything from the menu to the actual space is spot on and no detail has been left out). In any case I opted for the chicken schwarma sandwich and halloumi, and wow - I was completely blown away. Absolutely fresh, and tasty ingredients (and the combination of all of the ingredients ensures that the delightful flavours ooze out). I will most certainly be back during my current stay in Saloniki! I can only wish a long and very successful tenure for this spot. This has got to be Thessaloniki’s very best place to go for Arabic street food such as falafel and others. It represents THE true Damascene spirit: heartwarming, unrivaled friendliness, super tasty food to eat there outside the shop or take home with you, everything freshly prepared by Mahmoud and Omar, two most lovable guys of Syrian origin with multilingual capacities. Also note the beautiful mural on the right hand side of the location as you wait a few seconds for them to freshly prepare your authentic food!
