Nice gem in a somewhat run-down area of near to Romaic market. The only renovated building in that area, located quite centrally having all important places of Thessaloniki within walking distance,0.5-1.5 km. Once you enter the boutique hotel you get a feeling of being in another era,a nostalgic one. The room,in particular, the 1 BDR luxury apartment that i had booked, was impressive. Big,spacious, big windows & balcony that filled the place with daylight and high ceilings with old details preserved. The bathroom & shower were big enough as well.Nice self care/shower products too. The bedroom faced a mini garden and had trees and greenery around. As a light sleeper,i really enjoyed this place cause it was really peaceful and tranquille. Well,at times the neighborhood cats had their "fights" but i'd rather choose cats to wake me up all smiling than traffic or noisy people. The only negative things i could name are as following: There are a few, high steps before you enter the building and around 10 down or up in order to reach the elevator. For those like myself having a large suitcase, this was not optimal at all. The water in the shower is either too cold or too hot and it was a challenge to find balance. You manage after a few minutes though. The kitchenette was functional but didn't have enough electric outlets,so did the bedroom. Upon arrival, when i removed the bed cover,i found some dirt like sand grains(which i didn't understand where it came from),a small hair and unfortunately a stain on the bed sheet. Didn't want to make a fuss and removed it myself but still remains a mystery to me. I definitely loved & recommend the place and will return myself...
Read moreGreat spot, charming, and spacious. We stayed in room 203, it was nicely decorated and had everything you'd need for a pleasant stay for a reasonable price. The location is definitely awesome, close to everything and lots of bars nearby. The wi-fi was excellent, as well. There's also a key to the front door, so it's impossible for random people to enter the building. I always appreciate the extra safety Two things to note: The elevator didn't go to our floor (which was something of a middle floor betwee the 1st and the 2nd one, I presume?). The person who welcomed us helped with the bags though and as far as I understood the elevator did go to other floors. So, make sure to double-check this if it affects you in any way. Also, the water in the shower would go either too hot and when you adjust it minimally it would be too cold. That's obviously not ideal if you want to enjoy a relaxing shower. In any case, I'm giving this place 5 stars because the staff was nice, everyone we ever met was so pleasant, greeting us and everything. And we definitely loved the room and...
Read moreOne of the best accommodations where we stayed in many cities we visited! The location is central, 5 minutes from the Aristotelos area, a few minutes from the Roman Agora and the church of Saint Dimitrios and public transport stations. Check in and check out were quick, Stratos was kind and understanding, allowing us to leave our luggage in the office of the complex until the evening when we had planned the flight. The cleaning was done once every two days, the towels and bedding always very clean. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need, dishes, cutlery, kettle, microwave oven, sandwich maker, coffee maker with two welcome capsules and some tea bags. The heating convectors worked very well, not being noisy. the street on which the complex is located is quiet, with several terraces nearby but not very noisy, taking into account that we had a room overlooking the street, we had a good night's rest. I recommend this accommodation location and we will choose it again when we revisit...
