This is the first time I write a negative review and I wouldn't do it unless it was absolutely necessary. I stayed at the hotel for the weekend and everything seemed fine, until I realised when I got back home that I had forgotten my toothbrush. Normally, I wouldn't make a deal about it but it was a new electric toothbrush worth $150. I called them on Monday afternoon and asked them to send it to me by post and the answer I got was to call back on Tuesday as the cleaning personnel had finished their shift. On Tuesday they informed me that they hadn't found anything but asked me to call back on Wednesday. The same conversation was repeated on Wednesday and Thursday. This was really frustrating and disappointing as I know for sure where exactly I had placed it. However my main problem is not an electrical appliance which in fact costs more than staying at this hotel for a couple of nights; the problem is the attitude of the personnel and the management. Mistakes happen every day but as a witness of the hotel's absolute reluctance to help and find a solution for their customer's problem, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone for no...
Read moreVery central location. From the airport bus stop "Plateia Aristotelous" on Egnatia street next to the Bey Hamam it's just a 400 metre walk ever so slightly uphill that's easily navigable with a wheeled suitcase. Some of the upper-floor rooms have views of the Roman Agora archaeological site. ||We had a wonderful stay here. We first were on the upper floor but since there is no lift this became a bit burdensome. But the staff couldn't have been more helpful in finding us a different room for the rest of our stay and even carried our suitcases up and down the stairs for us. Even though the room was overlooking a cocktail bar we didn't have any major noise issues. ||All the staff members we interacted with were always helpful with smiles on their faces, providing us with great information and insight, and finally arranging for a taxi to the airport. ||Top tip: when you exit the hotel, turn right and walk uphill on that little street. At the top, turn right again and you'll find bakery Sarantis that sells excellent tiropitas and baklavas, perfect...
Read moreWhat I liked: overall it was clean; suitable internal temperature; the staff seemed kind; central location
What I didn't like: although we announced that we would arrive at 1 pm, the room was not ready. It is not pleasant at all after a 10-hour drive. We had to walk around the city in order not to wait at least 30 minutes at the reception; At 5 o'clock we woke up because there was noise in the hallway, I think they were cleaning; I would have paid extra for a good soap, not to use the cheapest and stupid one; The room was with the window in the inner courtyard, for one night it is ok but for more I do not recommend, there is no light and it looks ugly; The remote control is dirty, disgusting, it doesn't take long to wipe it with a napkin. The toilet had a problem and the water was not...
