Service at Dear Elie is not too attentive and accommodating. It took them about 35 minutes even after saying that we have a flight to catch and an airport transfer waiting for us. We had to pack the leftovers and leave in a hurry. I hope their service improves to let people have an enjoyable relaxed meal.

We called in for a drink on our first evening in Santorini and Dear Elie became our go-to local immediately, both for drinks and a few meals during our 14-day honeymoon; from the start the staff were so welcoming, Dimitris (think that’s right, never did ask but from other reviews must be) in particular made us feel like valued customers immediately while Stefanos (same applies!) was also brilliant - within a couple of days glasses were being waved to confirm we wanted “the usual” before we even sat down! The owner always made a point of coming over to say hello and admire our tans (the Santorini Colour, apparently!). The Nymph draught beer was good, as were the wines, and the food we had was also excellent - particularly the gyros and the burger made from proper steak and cooked to order. I was one of the other clients that bought a coffee of 8 euros, as you can see in other reviews. The owner claims in other reviews that the quality is better and those prices are normal in Santorini. As someone that has experience trying quality on coffees, I can tell your coffee didn’t taste different to other in the island and I pay around 2-4 euros in other places. I know it was my mistake for not looking the menu before ordering, I was naive to think people always charge the right price. But as an owner you should consider that if customers had a bad experience like this, probably they will not return. In our 3 nights in Imerovigli, this restaurant was always empty and the other one ( Avocado one) was always full. Maybe was because the owner or the unreasonable coffee prices.
