Thank you so much to Mantha and her family for their hospitality. We had a great 2 week stay at Black Sand in Kamari.||Location: excellent. In a quiet location but only one street back from the beach, and only a few mins walk from beachfront promenade and all shops, bars, restaurants.||Facilities: everything you would expect from a small 3 star traditional Greek hotel but to a very high standard. Lovely pool area, pool and snack bar serving light meals, lovely dining area for breakfast and our room contained everything we needed. We had a ground floor apartment with separate kitchen, living area and bedroom. Lovely terrace that opened out directly to the pool and bar area. The pool is small but large enough for a swim and dip with enough loungers for the amount of guests. The photos don’t do it justice, how pretty and nice it is. Overall we were very happy.||Cleanliness: again excellent. Everywhere so clean, the cleaners worked so hard all day long and it really showed. ||Food and drink. We ate snacks and lunch a few times and all food was homemade, delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was traditional Greek breakfast, simple but enough to set you up and we enjoyed it every day.||We had a great stay and as others have said Mantha (and her family) are what make the place so special. She is so welcoming and goes above and beyond to make all guests welcome and feel at home, with chats, advice and even providing her number to contact in case of any problems while out and about in Santorini. She even provides free towels to use for pool and beach, which she has sewn together so they are exact length of the loungers with a sewn pocket so they hook over and stay in place on the lounger. ||Lots of repeat visitors and I can see why. We would happily stay again if come back to Kamari. Thank you all at...

Read moreWOW! What can I say about this Hotel. It is fabulous, 1st class and honestly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We stayed in one of the superior rooms that have a private whirlpool on the balcony. The room had 2 balconies, 1 looking out to the sea which caught the sun, sunrise till about 2pm. This made it perfect in the afternoon to escape then read a book have a drink and watch the world go by. The second balcony had the sun from 10 till late. I often retired to this balcony in late afternoon to jump in the whirlpool and read. It was so quiet and relaxing. This balcony has views of the mountain/volcano. Overall no matter where you are in this hotel you have gorgeous views. The hotel itself only has 18 rooms so it never feels crowded. The pool area is immaculate and you do not need to reserve beds, generally there are always beds available. The bar area is well maintained and staffed and all the staff who I believe are family are brilliant/friendly and welcoming. The food at the bar for lunch is extremely tasty and very well priced, we ate there most days to be honest. Mantha the owner and her Husband are extremely welcoming and hardworking to make the place what it is. The beach is a 5 min walk if that, we spent most of the time at the pool but did go to the beach for an hour a day for snorkelling. Food in the area is great with plenty of choice. Kamari itself is lovely and not overcrowded at all. This hotel is given 3 stars by Jet2 which I can honestly say does not do this hotel justice. We are already looking to return to the hotel as long as we can secure a superior room, as they were simply divine.||Overall |Hotel 5 Stars|Staff 5 Stars|Food and Drink 5 Stars|Cleanliness 5 Stars|Value for money Unbeatable!||Thank you to everyone at The Black Sand...
