Our recent visit to The edge was truly an experience we won't soon forget! From the moment we arrived, we were absolutely captivated by the amazing sunset view – it's even more stunning in person than in pictures. The ambiance created by the setting sun was simply magical. But the views were just the beginning. The food was absolutely delicioso! Every dish we tried was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. It's clear that a lot of care and talent goes into their menu. What truly elevated our evening, however, was the extraordinary staff. Emanuel, Paris, George, and Thomas went above and beyond to make us feel incredibly welcome and special. They treated my wife and me with such genuine warmth and attentiveness throughout our meal. Unfortunately not the best experience. The good parts: the view of the Caldera is panoramic and the service is friendly and attentive. Winechoice is ok but the prize is on the high side, even for Santorini standards. We liked the Calamari starter, really tasty and well presented. The smoked cheese was combined with sweet sides. The preperation was ok, but just not our taste. The mains were unfortunately nothing short but laclustre. The ribeye was way too thin a cut and came in with no sear whatsoever. Worst of all: it was well done where it was ordered medium rare. The prawn pasta turned out to be prepared with frozen prawns that were affected by frostbite: they lost all texture and were completely tasteless and powdery. We didnt have enough faith in this kitchen to give it a second try and left without eating mains. We were left puzzled how you can serve a steak like this and would even consider to work with a frozen product, when on an island like Santorini fresh seafood is to be had in abundance at arms length.
