This is a review from a tourist that went to this beach so many times more than you can count and visited most of the beaches of in the area. I agree with all the 1 star reviews here and I agree it’s the worst experience you can have after paying a lot of money. To start with, Nikos the front desk person/claiming to be the manager, is a very rude person that should be fired and shouldn’t be working at this beach, he was very impolite with me and with ill people with me, he was careless. I agree that you need to tip a lot/bribe them over the 80 Euros you pay to have any service provided. If you don’t tip Nikos or anyone working, they won’t let You in, even if you have a reservation done to the beach. We tipped 20 euros to the people in and still were humiliated. They will make you pay and when you go inside, you won’t find Place. I was once not given any towels which is included in the service. The food has no salt or lemon or ketchup, if you order some, you will get them after ur done eating or never, the food takes a lot of time. No one to service you. First day I went to the beach the waiter told me he has 2 hands only because I asked for towels and he was rude that he continued and said he has 4 legs only. There is half price beach next to it which is exactly the same and bigger and without any restrictions. Astir beach is also a premium one compared to this, but seems the prices has raised a lot in this area that all of them just want to charge a lot without any good service. I don’t know if I can say more…..just all I remember is that it’s crowded, very small, very noisy speakers with arabic music all the time, all workers just looking for tips, manager and front desk not respectful and they want to chose people who would tip them and remove people who won’t tip Or don’t tip enough. Pitty to have this. We do go vacations for rest and not to argue and be humiliated. Oh not to forget: clothes were taken and put in the towels basket and we had to look for them ourselves without any help, we ordered food today and after one hour we were told when we asked that the food was not ordered by anyone! Ending it with Nikos saying even if the beach is empty we can’t change our seats at all after paying over 100 euros. Due to “taxation reasons”. I don’t write reviews but I think this one is well deserved to help the people visiting this area and not to waste their money. The food is so expensive: 7 euros for potato’s, 4.5 for 1l of water, 10 euros for lemonade, over 27 for mini burgers, over 18 for bagels. And this is what you get! Adding: no soap in toilets many days, salad sometimes...
Read moreExcellent beach, terrible service.
The water is clear and the sunbeds are very comfortable, if the staff is kind enough to give you what you requested during booking. We always note our preference when making a reservation and never get it.
The absolute lack of hospitality is infuriating. Today, the sunbed was crooked so I went up to the reception to ask for a fix or change, the hostess laughed at me with her colleague. He proposed a new sunbed and told me to relax. I moved to the new sunbed (the one the guy said to move to) - 5 minutes later the waiter comes to lecture us about not moving to that one since it’s already booked. It’s not at all pleasant to be set your things three times when you’ve come to a vacation and paid for the sets.
We have been coming here for 3 years in a row, and the service level is getting worse by the day. The waiters forget your requests (you have to ask multiple times for a towel, ashtray…). They also forget that you’ve been moved to a new sunbed and bring your order to the empty set that you were previously sat at.
The beach itself, atmosphere and the crystal clear waters are highly recommended - but the service leaves a...
Read moreVery disappointing and unprofessional experience. We had a reservation at 9:00 AM and arrived at 9:10, only to be told the beach was closed without any prior notice. This was despite making the reservation through the website a week in advance and confirming it by phone the day before.
The man at the gate told us to come back in an hour. We left and called again at 11:45 to check if the restaurant was open, and were told yes. I explained what had happened earlier, but the lady on the phone had no idea there had even been an issue. She simply said, “We’re open, you can come now.”
When we returned, we paid the entrance fees, took a table, and only then were told the kitchen was closed. When we asked for a refund of the entrance fees, since we came expecting the full experience (including the restaurant), the gate staff refused and said they weren’t responsible.
After arguing, the restaurant eventually covered our entrance fees, but the whole process was frustrating and unorganized. We wasted half our day and went through unnecessary hassle. This level of miscommunication and lack of coordination is unacceptable for a place that presents itself as a premium...
