Unfortunately, my experience at Villa Rosa was far from satisfactory, and I feel obliged to share my negative impression, hoping others might avoid a similar encounter.
From the outset, the treatment we received seemed to be less than favorable, despite being willing to spend generously for a quality dining experience. The staff appeared noticeably discomforted by the presence of our children, which led to an uncomfortable atmosphere throughout the night.
In addition, my party was eager to explore the wine list, hoping to pair a lovely bottle with our meals. Regrettably, our enthusiasm was met with indifference and a notable lack of assistance from the staff. This disregard for our interests contributed to a rather lackluster dining experience, devoid of the joy that usually accompanies a fine bottle of wine.
In light of these experiences, I regretfully cannot recommend Villa Rosa to anyone, especially those with families. The ability to welcome all types of guests is a hallmark of quality service, which this establishment has failed to demonstrate. Dining should be a pleasurable occasion for everyone involved, and no one should feel unwanted or overlooked. Villa Rosa, unfortunately, missed the mark in...
Read moreAs the sun begins to set behind the hills west of Parga, this is the place to be. Beautifully framed by Hotel Villa Rossa and the beach, the restaurant area takes on a truly special atmosphere in the golden evening light.
We had read online that the hotel doesn’t allow children, but a very welcoming and friendly host kindly showed us to a centrally placed table by the water—even with our 11-year-old son. Perhaps the evening was quieter than usual, but we certainly felt warmly welcomed.
Smiling and attentive waitstaff helped make the experience even more enjoyable. The starters—ceviche taco and sea bass carpaccio—were culinary gems and an absolute delight. For the main course, the traditional lamb paired beautifully with a delicious Agiorgitiko red wine. The mussels in white wine sauce, served with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, were also very good. The sauce was a bit on the tangy side for our taste, as we prefer slightly creamier sauces with mussels—but that’s just a matter of personal preference.
All in all, a lovely and memorable dining experience at beautiful Villa Rossa—a place we can...
Read moreOnly the view worth it unfortunately. After reading the previous reviews I visited the restaurant with high expectations.in the experience now the view was excellent.Very nice the amuse bouce. On the first plates, we order the marinated octopus which had a bad smell probably from poor storage, a saganaki that was very hard to chewing and green horta that was tasteless. For main dishes we has pasta that was good(and for that they have 2 stars). Another pain point was the amateur service. They bring the main dishes 10min after the starter's so we had all the dishes in the table. On the top of that they bring the bill( a receipt that right down the price per dish) 10min after the main, something totally amateur and made us feel unwanted. As an after taste I can not recommend the restaurant.there are better places for dinner in...
