After reading many blogs and reviews, we could not wait to try out this restaurant as it came highly recommended. It is not on the water, but tucked away in a cute alleyway. This restaurant was by far our favourite in our trip to Greece (Santorini, Paros and Athens) that we even went twice! We did not book reservations, but it might be a good idea to do so as it is very popular.

During the first visit, we ordered a shrimp pie as an appetizer, which was delicious. For the mains we ordered veal in a white pasta and moussaka, both of which were extremely tasty. The food came out extremely hot and fresh. For dessert, they brought a chocolate-orange cake which was DELICIOUS… it was part of the reason we came back the second day.

The following day, we ordered fried tuna balls as an appetizer and for the mains, we ordered a lamb shank and sea bass (although they accidentally brought out a pork dish (not sure of the name) instead of the sea bass and it was honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten in both my travels to Greece!). We were very excited for the dessert again and it was just as delicious the second day.

We would definitely recommend this restaurant and were certainly sad to leave Paros because of how good...

The reservation system needs to be revamped. Takes a while for them to reply on WhatsApp. Overall, service was good when they were informing you of the wine list and menu. Then It falls flat. We ordered 3 appies and it all comes out at once, to the point there is no space on the table. They never come back to check in, which is fine but the food is not what we expected. The fish salad reminded us of a canned tuna tossed in mayo(no offence). Haloumi cheese starter was okay, salty and heavy. The best dish was the octopus with fava beans but not as good as other places that we have tried before. The lamb fricassee was overly salty. I would suggest to the team, to stop mixing everything together and let the fresh ingredients speak for itself, and control the speed and time of when your dishes come out. They only let you have the table for 2 hrs which we only used up 1hr. Lots of time to let guests enjoy.

edit The owner reached out to inquire more about our experience. They seem very genuine and are nice and respectful. In which I have updated the review based on this reason. The review still is our honest feedback about the food but the experience is what makes us want...

Objectively, the food was amazing. Honestly, really good. Unfortunately, the lady managing the reservations almost ruined our evening. We were escorted to our table by a very friendly gentleman. After sitting for a bit, this lady comes by and the first thing she says:”This is not your table” you can imagine the shock on my face. I responded: “it is!” So, no “good evening”, no “apologies, there seems to …” she claimed it was for Stella. The truth of it was: The day before I reserved in person and she showed me which table it was going to be. So it was clearly a lie, gaslighting at its best. We eventually moved to another table and the polish waiter saved the evening. He was a treasure. How much brainpower does it take to say:” apologies, I made a mistake with the table. May I ask you to move to this one. The appetitive will be on the house!” She (probably the owner) needs some communications training. We wanted to go back but decided not to because we don’t want to give our money to a liar! The polish waiter gave us a desert in the house. She can consider herself lucky with this guy. Else, I would have blithered her in this review. Ps: I was being...

Shosho – Paros’ Hidden Gem That Had Us Coming Back Twice in a Row Shosho isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Tucked away on a charming street in Paros, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect with gentle evening breeze floating through, it felt like something out of a movie. What made it even more special was the incredible hospitality. The owners treated us like family from the moment we arrived—genuine, warm, and so proud of what they’ve built. You could feel the love in both the service and the food. We loved it so much that we came back the very next night. Honestly, it was a no-brainer. The food was that good. From the pork and meatballs to the pasta and the selection of appetizers, every dish was unforgettable. Every bite felt homemade but elevated, bursting with flavor and clearly made with care. Given how small and intimate the space is, we definitely recommend making a reservation in person if you want to guarantee a table—especially in the evening when the street comes to life. It’s worth the effort. Shosho ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our trip, and easily one of the best meals we’ve ever had.

Tucked away in a small bougainvillea-covered alley, SHO SHO is truly one of Naoussa’s hidden gems. A few outdoor tables set the tone: cozy, charming, and authentic. We went back several times during our stay – the food is consistently excellent, generous, and full of flavor. Monica and Peter, who run the place, are incredibly warm and welcoming. They take time to explain the dishes and make you feel right at home. What stood out to us was how rich yet healthy the food felt – full of taste but never greasy. Some absolute highlights: The Greek-style chicken pasta, a comforting, family-style dish that melts in your mouth. Peter’s signature Youvetsi: a slow-cooked orzo risotto with tender veal and mushrooms – bursting with spice and depth. The braised lamb shank, perfectly tender and flavorful. The beetroot salad, light and refreshing to kick off the meal. And for dessert, a house-made tiramisu-style treat – lighter than the original but just as satisfying. In short, a must-visit while in Naoussa. If you skip it, you’ll miss out on some of the island’s best food at very fair prices.

This is a reservation required location. So be sure to call ahead. We did and got a reservation for the next day. Monica was so friendly when we called and extremely accommodating. Even followed up the next day with a Whatapp message confirming our reservation. Upon arrival the table was ready we enjoyed a bottle of wine and water. We started with the Domadakis, Beet Root Salad and the Halloumi Pie with Honey. All were incredible!!! For our mains we had the Sea Bass and the Fish Soup. The Sea Bass was delicious. Perfectly grilled, soft and freshly caught. The Fish Soup was more of a chowder for us North American folk. Delicious and filling. The dessert menu was only one item so the selection was limited. We had a fantastic time and the setting was beautiful and out of the hustle of the downtown harbour area. Worth every dollar!!!
