Perfect restaurant option for Coeliacs in Parikia From my first contact with the staff at Levantis my stress level reduced - I was in capable hands and could relax and enjoy a Gluten Free meal. The wait staff and kitchen staff are friendly and knowledgeable and experienced in preparing meals for Coeliacs. I handed the waitress my Coeliac information card which she read carefully and referred me to Laura - a bilingual godsend. She then guided me through the menu to ensure I had sufficient options. Questions were responded to professionally and a great choice of meals were available. I went with a Octopus and noodle salad with chili, coriander and lime dressing starter which was a perfect blend of flavours - very delightful indeed. For main course I went with the Fillet of chicken rolled with rocket, pastourma & parmesan, sundried tomato & basil sauce with plate of seasonal vegetables which had a beautiful balance of flavors which enhanced and did not overpower the chicken. The main was beautifully cooked and fully flavoursome and paired with a delicious Merlot. A delicious serving of Kahlua chocolate truffles rolled in almond and cocoa finished the meal - the perfect ending for my sweet tooth. The wine list contained an extensive range of local and international options. I went local and was not disappointed. The perfect stop for a Coeliac seeking a delicious gluten-free meal in Paros. 5 star food and service in a lovely location in the...
Read moreI made a reservation at Levantis before arriving in Greece because it had such great reviews - I wasn't disappointed.
I arrived early by Greek standards, so it was literally just me and the wait staff. I ordered one of their cocktails (which one, escapes me!) - it was refreshing and delicious! I skipped the appetizer because experience has shown that all meals in Greece are served in gigantic portions and I needed to save room for dessert. I mean, it's the most important meal of the day! I decided to order the manti, which is a dish I've had in Turkey. Typically, these are tiny ravioli served in a tomato sauce and yogurt and it's delicious. Levantis had a different spin on the dish, and it was great. Rather then serve mini ravioli, they chose to make a larger version of these, served in a lot less sauce. The ravioli were delicious and the sauce was good - I would have liked more on the plate, though. For me, the portion was perfect. Less wouldn't have been enough and more would have been too much.
For dessert, I ordered the chocolate soufflé and it was absolutely perfect and well worth the 15 minute wait!
My waitress was attentive and friendly. The price point was very reasonable for the quality and calibre of the food.
The setting is great - they have a beautiful, fresh terrace what overhanging vines (?) that create an awesome,...
Read moreIn the Levantis' atmospheric outdoor patio, a huge grape vine sprawls across the trellis above you. Windows and doors open onto Paros's quaint lane ways. Inside, service is friendly and professional. I start with an excellent greek take on a mojito and my wife a fine greek white wine. Our meal opens with the Asian inspired octopus and noodle salad which is tasty but rather sparsely populated with small bits of marinated octopus. For the mains, we order the delicious sounding Slowly baked honey spiced lamb and the Oven roasted pork and cherries roulade. Alas, neither is as tender as one might expect in a restaurant of this class. Frankly, they were both tough, although the jus were tasty. My wife suspected they were prepared days ahead and reheated. In fact, hers was bad enough that she was forced to send it back. The night was saved by her replacement order: Pappardelle with aubergine, sultanas, pine nuts, rosemary oil and wild garlic graviera. Bursting with the flavours of the Mediterranean, it brought the smile back to her face. We finished with the lemon sorbet, roasted figs and sweet wine. Delicious. Perhaps we had arrived here on a late in the season off-night. I certainly can't fault the service and ambiance, and we saw that the kitchen is capable of excellence. If you are in Paros,...
